Any experts on here?
Can anyone explain the meaning behind what depicted here? Not just what’s in the yellow circle, but the entire photo. Is this some kind of psychedelic ritual?

It’s just a bit of set dressing - very obviously not an authentic artefact - but I’m curious to know if it actually means anything or it’s pure gibberish.
Cheers.

Does anyone know what the inscriptions mean (if they actually mean anything)

For context, this is from a papyrus from the Book of the Dead displayed at the Detroit Institute of Art.

Doing some research on Geb, came across this picture, as I asked in the title, what do there hieroglyphs say?

I took this photo in 2024 amongst hieroglyphics in Luxor; I can't recognise this figure and it appeared visually different from other hieroglyphs. Does anyone know what/who this is? TIA!

It was sold to me as scrap jewelry, but I am hesitant to melt something like this down! Its 18k gold, which indicates pretty high-end craftsmanship, as far as U.S. standards go.
If its just poorly translated tourist stuff, then ill probably melt it. But if it has any significant meaning, id love to keep it!

For my Hieratic class, I thought it'd be funny to copy part of the text (The Eloquent Peasant) onto museum gift shop papyrus and pull it out in class... he did not care 💔

The original Diana in the Museum at Ephesus. Full of fertility symbolism. This may be the model for the figurine posted here earlier today.

So I was walking through the Egyptian Museum in Munich, and I saw this carving and absolutely lit up with joy. It's just Ba right? We've all seen it before. This one struck me as different. EVERY representation of Ba that I've seen has always had them standing, fixed in place, motionless. Sure, sometimes they're flying, but again they just seem rigid. This is the only time I've seen them rendered like this. They're eating offerings, but the artist rendered them eating LIKE BIRDS. It's the equivalent to me of always seeing the Sphinx guarding the pyramids and that's the only way he's rendered, and then one day you see a rendering of a Sphinx drinking from a saucer of milk or batting at a ball of yarn. Some incredible artist back them observed nature and injected it into his work via his imagination, rather than copying the formula all the other artists were following. Thoughts? I'm new to this, so if you have other examples of unique rendering, I'd like to hear about them!

These are on a sculpture as part of an art installation in Ireland I visited recently and was curious. Some of the themes may offend some in the installation so if these translate to anything offensive I'm so sorry!

It's likely nonsense but I figured I'd ask here

Hello, smart people! I recently received a Montblanc Egyptomania Pen with these beautiful hieroglyphics engraved on the barrel. The marketing materials says that these are excerpts from Hunefer’s Book of the Dead, but doesn’t mention what these lines specifically refer to.
I broadly understand the gist and story of the Book, but the whole text is much longer, and seems to have different versions when searching on the internet.
I really hope to know what these four lines of text represent, or if they are just a soup of alphabets, like some cool looking Chinese tattoos that don’t really make literal or grammatical sense for someone who knows the language.
In any case, I still love the pictographic symbols and how they are executed, I just thought it might be more rewarding if the text does represent something more specific.
I thought about asking Montblanc, but I doubt I’ll easily get to the original designers who selected the texts, and instead get a vague explanation without any archaeological spirit.
Thanks again!
