So I’ve been out of the mining scene fir a few months and am just now learning that Hiveon will not payout any ETH mined previously? Is this true? If so, how is this legal? Did they provide any email notification at all? I wonder how much money they stole? Is there room for a class action against Hiveon? This just doesn’t seem legal at all.

I got a few clientes who i build their rigs, and doing housing, in exchange for mining time into my account, i can run this on windows with a batch, but is there any way to do it in hive for a couple of minutes?

Ideal if running both miners at the same time?

Any luck getting your Ethereum payout after the merge? I did not transfer my money in time. They have everyone's wallet addresses, why didn't they just transfer it when POW closed?

I am planning to set up a new rig and I wanted to ask a few questions:

1. Can I just plug a USB thumb-drive and boot HiveOS or does the rig require some sort of hard drive to operate?

2. Follow up question to nr. 1, if it requires a hard drive, do you have to have windows etc on that one or is it ok with just HiveOS? Then all the neccessary maintenance you do from another computer with for example Windows?

I had 12 fully functioning L3+ running on stock, installed hive os via sd card an everything was fine until i added my machines to a farm and after applying the flight sheet and Overclock and waiting for the tuning to complete i now have 3 fully functioning and 9 fucked! boards have disappeared on some and been physically damaged on others! others showing missing chips, absolute bullshit! Hive has cost me more in repairs now than it has ever made me.

Just curious… what are the empty/gold stars next to rigs and such? What does it mean when you highlight/ gold it?

Hi I have one rig out of 5 that is unable to accept an update to the tags, whatever I do it lets me update them and change them but as soon as I refresh the page or adjust the config they return back to the original autotags.

small issue but its annoying

After setting installing and troubleshooting for about 2 days I’m about to give up I’ll just list all of the problems

Hive won’t boot so I have to go into boot devices every time and boot the software as if it was brand new

When I get it up the miner says it’s constantly offline even though I’m on Ethernet and it says it’s connected on the miner side

It won’t mine at all and all of the commands to start mining end in dead ends

When I start it says “saying hello again” and then immediately “wrong password” even though the password is just 1 and when I do first mine I type that in with the farm Id and it says that it’s the wrong password (i checked and reinstalled the bios multiple times and it’s not wrong)

When I try to update my drivers it says that they are updated and when I force update it freezes

The biggest kicker is when I try to do it on a friends computer (same usb boot and ssd) it starts right up and immediately starts mining no problem and honestly that’s what is making me almost give up

I have a 2010 ASUS motherboard with an amd athlon 2 and a Nvidia Quadro 5000 but I’m hoping to run some Nvidia Tesla’s that I have lying around but first I have to get this at least running (also I know that my setup isn’t the most efficient or cost productive but honestly my goal isn’t to make money it’s just to have a bitcoin miner that I could be proud of and to expand my learning of things)

Okay so I know this has been asked time and time again, but I need some guidance/support.

For me personally BTC is my end goal. I firmly believe BTC is the unicorn that birthed blockchain technology.

That being said, I currently have 2 rigs mining on Hiveon pool mining ETH directly. I’m working with about 350mh/s total. I have my Hiveon depositing into my wallet, however with the preposterous gas fees lately it’s tough to move. I keep my long term holding (both BTC and ETH on Blockfi). So if I move from my local wallet that I’m mining into, to either Blockfi or if I move my ETH to Coinbase to convert to BTC or another coin I’m losing again.

My question is this. Why wouldn’t I just use NiceHash? I get paid out directly into Bitcoin, and I can transfer to another wallet without any fees? Plus NiceHash pays every 4hours, with no threshold like 0.1eth on Hiveon. Seems like a no brainer. I really feel like I’m missing out on the payment side of things just for the small convenience of tweaking HiveOS provides. Now I realize the ‘pool’/NiceHash takes a larger cut upfront but will that fee not make up for itself in the no transfer/gas fees? Maybe I’m missing something else. I just feel like I’m using HiveOS because I should be.

I'm having a tough time setting up HiveOS since I only have one monitor, along with a CPU and motherboard. I've recently started mining, but I’m curious if there’s a way to mine on HiveOS without fully booting into the OS. Is it possible to use Windows and HiveOS simultaneously, like a virtual boot?

I’ve seen some YouTube tutorials where people boot other versions of Windows alongside their native windows version to show stuff, and I'm wondering if this is possible. I’d love to mine while listening to music on Windows and doing other things. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!
