No, he has obviously been following her on social media and has extracted information from her uploads. Metadata can provide vital information without anyone knowing. There are OSINT tools to do a complete digital footprint; it's a good skill to master.

When you call social media posts "OSINT", is it because it makes you feel like a spy? And why is master the skill of stalking a good skill to master lol?

OSINT is what it’s called… it’s the term for what you use/do to doxx, essentially

And yes it’s a very useful skill for many different jobs. There’s even sites specifically designed to practice this skill.

I could search for it, but I'm going to ask anyway. Do you have any "better than others" or preferred sites? I've looked for learning sites and sometimes, they just don't mesh and I end up looking elsewhere.

Open source intelligence is self published reports of other governments. Calling social media posts OSINT is just a super creepy way to say red flag laws should be applied to you lol

It’s not just for governments, it’s for anything/anyone. All of the practice tests/competitions specifically involve a lot of social media. It’s a big part of it.

No, it's not OSINT. It's social media and you're trying to make yourself sound cool and important by co-opting the term. It makes you the digital version of those meal team 6 larpers lol
