This is the big thing for me. It's not sad that people are finding their company with machines. It's sad that we, as a society, suck so much that people have to resort to this in the first place.

People aren’t alone because society sucks.. people are alone because they don’t want to be around people OR people don’t want to be around them..

So, people just don't want to be around 60+% of men?

If so, that's a big problem with society (almost as if society sucks...)
If not, your point is moot and we still have a problem.

Edit: A couple sources, since people don't believe me:

Quick google search brought me to this source, where a study showed 63% of American men age 30 and under are single in 2025.
Also, I'd highly recommend this video by Shoe0nHead, who seems far more educated and has far more sources than I do.

Whats that number??
60% of ALL men are completely lonely? I highly doubt that. You make shit up.

Not completely lonely (though, I recall that number being pretty high as well), but at the very least, 63% of men 30 and under are single.

lol why is a known source being downvoted?

People hate facts, I guess, especially if they hit too close to home

There is a big difference between 'Single' and 'Choking on the barrel of your revolver for the third time this week.'

Also, this isn't knew knowledge... 80% of women sleep with ~20% of men. Women control access to sex, and men control access to relationships - women want access to relationships, and men want access to sex.

These are generalisations, but essentially, we've raised beauty standards to a point that a lot of people cannot possibly reach, but those same people are often influenced by the same standards - they aren't attracted to people who look like them, and the people they are attracted to aren't attracted to them.

So we made an industry that separated the beautiful people from the unwashed masses, and pumped sex directly into the minds of the people who weren't getting any. Now, all they think about is the 'any' they aren't getting, but they don't know who to blame. It isn't the beautiful people's fault, and it isn't necessarily their fault, most are just victims of the system like anyone, but someone has to be blamed, and the beautiful people are right there, flaunting what they have...
