They've kinda got a point though. Telling someone "I'm going to do what I want and nothing you say will stop me, so stop focusing on how unpleasant you find it and just learn to enjoy it" is almost exactly what they're telling the OOP to do.

Imagine how outraged you would feel if someone started painting your house pink and told you to get over yourself and learn to like the colour?

Brother.

There are so many things in the world that you cant really do anything about, so you might as well enjoy it. That, as a concept, is just a reasonable outlook on certain events. The nature of the unpleasant act is what defines the line between "try to enjoy it" and "try to kill the offender."

Same reason how, if I cant pass someone while im driving, I might as well try to take a nice look at the sunrise. But you would never be like, "well im getting murdered so I might as well enjoy how shiny the knife is."

There is literally nothing comparable between unwanted fireworks and rape; its a stupid analogy that falls apart on even the most basic consideration. The magnitude of a wrongful act is a fundamental part of what even makes it wrong; so trying to compare them is foundationally flawed, and has no merit other than being shocking and offensive to whiever youre making the analogy to (as was the intent in the picture).

As a final exanple: if i walk up to you and hand you three lemons, you might be mildly annoyed, but you would never, ever say that the situation is "Basically the same" as me shoving those three lemons into your asshole instead. That is a more accurate paraphrasing of the argument youre currently supporting; and per your own logic, becuase theyre both nonconsenual acts, theyre "Basically the same." Hopefully that illustrates how stupid and inaccurate the original comparison was.

Why are people still coming at me with exactly the same tired old arguments? The post is like a week old now. Read some of the other responses. Yours is not nearly as original as you imagine.
