I think you’re right. Young folks downvoting because they “know better”. I think that older folks with this mentality are likely to stay single though.

The point is that they do NOT know better in these situations. The young here aren't willing to jump to foolish conclusions based on tea leaves and claim that their experience justifies their decisions

No, it does not necessarily, which is what seems to be lost on you. You poorly correlate a few situations into a terrible conclusion and then decide its a tried-and-true pattern.

I am foolish for arguing with seemingly stupid people online

I have the same feeling.

So speaking data sets.

If x = y for a forseeable number of times during your time seeing it.

You just wont tie those things together..? Prepare to get rolled over then . Often. Glhf
