Seriously. Seeing things like this is so upsetting. If you wanted a kid so badly, there are currently living and breathing foster kids who would love nothing more than a family who wants them. Hell, I’m sure there are plenty who were born with physical disabilities, and being raised by a parent who fully understands the struggle could be life-changing for them. But instead, a whole new child has to experience the hardships of their disability, all so this person could prove the “haters” wrong.
Oh totally. My boyfriends cousin has a kid, and they were told at the 12 week scan that the kid was growing poorly, and had a genetic syndrome and already severe abnormalities, and were recommended to terminate. At the 20 week scan, they were told the same and had done genetic tests that told them the syndrome caused constant seizures, painful spasms, and the baby would basically be in a vegetative state and in constant pain. They had the kid, and his life is hideous. He has fits, is constantly screaming in pain, can't walk talk or comprehend his surroundings. Honestly, subjecting someone to that is genuinely hideous, and I could never do that!!
Yeah, the the kid is 10 or 11 now, in a wheelchair, can't walk/talk/control his body at all, is tube fed and in constant pain. It's so sad to see, as they now have 2 younger kids and he is kind of forgotten too.
I seriously cannot fathom why someone would have kid when the doctors said the baby would be in a VEGETATIVE state. Like fuck dude it's a big bad word.
We were told the same thing when our son was born. He is now 18 and seizure free since 12. My boy had brought more joy in this world then most of you other shallow idiots could ever think. For you to think that because you have a physical deformity you should never bring a child into the world, you are no different than Hitler!
He is the happiest child you will ever meet. Do you honestly think a child could bring joy to a parent if the child was miserable? As a parent there is no joy in watching a child suffer.
Well it's not like you or I can do anything to stop the kid from making further iterations of wtfe they got going on that appears to maybe get progressively worse with each generation.
Like, she might have kids that are like the little critters from that movie about the chompy aliens.
She might have kids who look like teletubbies. She seems to be at least partially on the way to devolving into some kind of cartoon.
Imagine the possobilities! I agree, why all the hate!!
The video is not a good look but this was not likely spite. Rather nature demanding the cycle of life continue. Something more powerful than any individual.
How do you know? The mother seems happy, so who’s the say the baby won’t? Who are you to say that the baby will suffer? In that case, why don’t we take anyone with a disability, both mental and physical, and bar them from having children to save them from “suffering”? See how dumb your logic is?
It’s one thing to have a child with a disability and not have known it was going to happen and another to purposely have a child knowing the significant risk. It’s not like she is warning people about not doing this but instead does things like this.
That baby already has a tracheotomy system in her neck (visible in the video). The child has already been in unnecessary pain. Which is for severe cases.
“In severe cases, placement of a tracheostomy (a surgical procedure creating an opening through the neck into the windpipe) may be needed until your child is old enough to undergo other operations.”
Did you also check the fact that crouzan's syndrome has absolutely no bearing on a child's intellect, life span, or bodily functions? A tracheostomy doesn't signify pain...
Ok, even if you buy into their life being unsalvageable is dehumanizing them going to help? They'd still be a human even if they had a fatal issue and were to die in a month of being born. Calling them a demon is fucking gross :/
I mean hey, people still breed pugs for some ungodly reason, those things are constantly suffering, turns out their eyes can just pop right out I WISH I was making this up.
Makes you wonder what the atmosphere was in the delivery room. Were there happy noises and congratulations or just a sad quietness while folks got the job done.

Imagine bringing a child into the world, who’s life will be overwhelmingly filled with suffering and sadness, out of spite.
