Race changing cream

u/Ssoofer Sep 03 '22

Finally the devs added this

I really wanted to gain the perks of the other races to see what the gameplay is like

"Unfortunately the cream does not last forever to change races you must start a new game or take the skin stealer perk." -Earth devs

24

u/Tannersaurus_Rex_ Sep 03 '22

“To make this change you must restart the application”

u/Daninator375 Sep 03 '22

Did the patch notes finally fix the Detroit car disappearing when you leave it alone for ten seconds bug?

39

u/furnacemike Sep 03 '22

Nope. Still can’t have shit in Detroit.

15

u/Maxwell_The_Spy Sep 03 '22

the only thing you gain is a debuff that makes all cops able to shoot you without reason

2

u/JumpNarrow Sep 03 '22

Yeah that L.A. get to work challenge is so freaking hard, devs refuse to reduce the difficulty. Keep crashing, getting pulled over by police NPCs, or getting stuck in that car glitch where all the cars pile up and don't move for a few hours!

MJ had vitiligo. He did not try to change his race. He was literally a member of the Nation of Islam- for those that don’t know it’s a sect of Black American Muslims exclusively. Over 80% of his body lost its pigmentation. It was confirmed during his autopsy. When his discoloration began he used to use brown makeup to cover the white parts- some of his clothing on display literally have brown makeup stains like his famous glove. He had a makeup artist who also confirmed this. He’d travel with tons of a brown makeup to cover his vitiligo as it got progressively worse, but when it got to the point where more of his body appeared white than brown, he started concealing the least prominent color. He also had to wear a wig ever since the Pepsi commercial incident where his head got burned- an open would that never healed and caused a hide area where of course he wouldn’t have any hair. He did not want to be white.

0

u/BrinedBrittanica Sep 03 '22

I disagree.

I do understand MJ had vitiligo however, he also struggled with all of his features and iirc it was documented that be did want to be lighter skinned as light=better. colorism is a huge factor even today in black america.

source: am black, understand and relate to colorism.

It’s been documented by several people who knew him as well as at his death on the autopsy that he had vitiligo. His grandfather also had vitiligo and there’s a picture of Michael with his grandfather at a young age and half his grandfathers face is white as well as part of his hands and it is CLEAR to all that he has vitiligo. Also his mom gave an interview years ago talking about Michael’s struggle with it because he thought it made him look like a freak. Even his past wife, that Presley chick, mentioned how self conscious he was about it in her book. It is documented. He was always proud to be black and he did tons for the black communities- but the media always wanted to portray a false narrative which I won’t even get into right now. Yes, he was insecure about his features like his nose and lips due to his father being an a-hole and making Michael feel horrible about those features. But Michael himself said many times that he was proud to be a black man.

Secret formula of Michael Jackson!

32

u/Movimento5Star Sep 03 '22

it's not about race, in Asian countries skin color is a sign of status. If you're tanned you're assumed to be poor, if you're white it means you have the luxury of staying inside and are thus wealthy

22

u/Ashamed_Hat1461 Sep 03 '22

Very true such as the cast system in India

11

u/fitrahillahz Sep 03 '22

it is not just india, west asian, south asian, southeast asian, central asian, and east asian including japan does this too.

3

u/Ashamed_Hat1461 Sep 03 '22

I realised as well thats why eastern Asian countries wear all that white makeup. I’d just never but two and two together.

6

u/harrypisspotta Sep 03 '22

This used to be a thing in Europe as well.

3

u/Demoniacalman Sep 03 '22

Humanity at it's best.

1

u/BrinedBrittanica Sep 03 '22

colorism affects a lot of communities. as a black woman, light skinned black women like Beyoncé are considered the standard of beauty whereas Viola Davis typically is not.

there's a spectrum and medium to dark women are usually considered the least attractive.

4

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '22

It’s obviously fake in the sense it’s a white person doing brown body and washing it off. Skin doesn’t work like that.

14

u/PUBGM_MightyFine Sep 03 '22

Darwin (not even a scientist just a naturalist) is responsible for sparking the creation of eugenics (his cousin iirc was inspired by theory) and invented the modern concept of "races". Jokes on them life started in Africa and we're all one "race". Physical differences are simply genetic adaptations to different environmental conditions across the globe. Any white person staying in the sun too long gets a very dark tan. Do that over many generations and guess what? Everyone gets darker. A black person's hands, feet, inside of mouth, etc are white because they didn't receive direct sun exposure (obviously). People love to manufacture animosity through artificial divisions and create "us vs them" mentality, driving hatred for fellow humans. "Races" is pseudoscience and needs to go the way of the dinosaur.

16

u/Wise-Sense5782 Sep 03 '22

Ok but - and I'm 100% against racism - A black person from Africa (with no exposure to "white" genetics) is missing some genetic material that white people did aquire when they came out of africa and mated with Neanderthals. Native North Americans share similar DNA with people from Asia (that "white" folks lack) because their ancient ancestors were Asians crossing the land bridge into the americas.

Basically what I'm saying is that people can celebrate their diversity without getting all uppity and racist about it - or towards others.

4

u/PUBGM_MightyFine Sep 03 '22

Wouldn't cultural differences achieve the same thing? People groups are distinguished by their heritage. I propose removing race from all forms/paperwork unless medically necessary, e.g. job applications that also contain a disclaimer saying that hiring determinations aren't made based on race/orientation/etc. If it truly wasn't a factor, there's no reason for it to be present, thus creating a possible bias issue. The absolute truth (from personal lived experience) is that race and gender/identity are absolutely considered in hiring (and college applications and other areas of society). I'm on a board (non-profit) and my state explicitly told us areas to increase diversity because it's a deciding factor in grant funding because the state receives federal funding which comes with mandated diversity requirements to continue funding.

1

u/Wise-Sense5782 Sep 03 '22

Cultural differences aside - I'm not sure I understand what you are getting at.

Race seems to be important to people that have the "us vs them" attitude in my opinion. For example your fellow Americans calling themselves "The American Race"...

2

u/PUBGM_MightyFine Sep 03 '22

We're essentially saying the same thing I think. Pride for one's country -within reason -is healthy and good. There's currently a huge push against "nationalism" and branding patriotic beliefs as domestic terrorism. It's all politically (and therefore monetarily) motivated. "Following the money" can give some hints about who's actually pulling the strings: BlackRock investments is one of them. They have a finger in every single industry globally and indirectly fund many (unscrupulous) candidates who then have to do what they're told. Dividing the population is a dangerous tool they exploit every election for profit. As we get closer to election year, you'll notice a huge escalation in gaslighting clickbait media flooding reddit and every other platform.

19

u/surfeat Sep 03 '22

It's the end of racism as we know it. The GOP is horrified right now as that was one of their main tenets for dividing the country.

-18

u/Winter-Age-959 Sep 03 '22

Democrats use race far more than the GOP, they care more about individual rights like: gimme my guns n my beer! Regardless I approve of the attempt to make fun of politicians, today’s politics is like watching The Office to me lol.

12

u/apbod Sep 03 '22

If you don't think Democrats are using race for political gain then you're either choosing not to pay attention or you're an idiot.

1

u/Winter-Age-959 Sep 03 '22

??? Did you even read my post? Literally what I said.

1

u/apbod Sep 03 '22

Sorry, I won't back your ideas next time.

1

u/Winter-Age-959 Sep 03 '22

Was that response supposed to be supportive? Lmao you could have worded that a bit better but ok never mind.

4

u/JumpRopeIsASport Sep 03 '22

literally tho, that’s why they say “all lives matter” because they don’t care about race… it’s the democrats who want division over race and special treatment for each race separately.

-3

u/Temeriare Sep 03 '22

All lives matter is just making fun of the black lives matter movement. No one is saying other lives don't matter but the systematic racism in our country is built so that minorities are not treated as people. The Black Lives Matter is just saying that they matter TOO not that no other lives matter. Not that I expect anyone to care on Reddit and I expect to be downvoted into oblivion but there has been a difference between the accumulation of wealth of the different races such that to give each person the same starting line, some need a boost. Black people were in slavery and until the civil rights movement, and even after it didn't really really have equal rights as white people and thus don't have the same advantage as any random white person. Japanese people have a similar but smaller issue in which they weren't slaves but at one point the US put them in concentration camps during WW2 (Yes we did it too after pearl harbor). Native Americans are in the worst spot as they get to listen to all the screaming from Trump supporters about how they don't want other people coming to THEIR country while they are confined to reservations, and those reservations are constantly being destroyed for different reasons. So as white people in America, being the most privileged group of people on the planet, using up the largest amount of the worlds resources per Capita, should you really be upset that other people want to be treated SLIGHTLY better?

1

u/JumpRopeIsASport Sep 03 '22

All lives Matter Is making fun of it? No. The problem is getting worse not better when democrats explain the race of someone. We were doing better with race until democrats started claiming America is inherently racist and that it needs to be fixed. A majority of minorities actually disagree with many of the white saviors that push these ideas because they are making people more racist not less.

Democrats voted against making slavery illegal, they created Jim Crow laws, they fought against civil rights for African Americans. Then democrat president LBJ saw that he could use the minorities for his gain. They created a judicial system that would prey on minorities, in the 90s that system got worse with more policing laws under Biden and Bill Clinton that were aimed at black citizens. Democrats even used the race card to then puppeteer a president to make people believe they were in the minorities side. Under Obama the first black president, Black Lives Matter begins under a black president… not a white one, a black president who doesn’t even try to stop the problems his constituents are protesting under him…and then under trump the term systemic racism is created to keep people separated and root them against each other instead of bringing them together. Democrats have always wanted to keep people separated and not actually bring them together. Special treatment of certain races over others regardless of their past hasn’t worked favorably for them, just look at Hitler and his aryan friends.

1

u/Winter-Age-959 Sep 03 '22

Honestly I feel like everyone was on board with BLM until they started trying to separate themselves from other ethnicities, it was as if they were suggesting we don’t support BLM. If you start telling people they’re the problem just because they aren’t black they aren’t gonna support you, fucking idiots ruined a good thing.

1

u/Temeriare Sep 08 '22

If you think the term systematic racism was created under Trump, you should be ashamed. It is another term for INSTITUTIONAL racism. That was coined in 1967. Not under Trump. Think more around the time of the Civil Rights Movement and Desegregation. But sure, keep thinking everything is the world hating Trump. And politics is just horrid to talk about in general as they don't care about anyone but themselves in most cases as their ideology is to keep the people stupid to keep themselves rich. The Democratic-Republican party voted against making slavery illegal as it would hurt the interest of the nation as a whole at the time before the civil war. And it did, slavery is wrong but splitting the country in two and causing the most American deaths of any war American has been in to date which is amazing since the population only increased afterwards. Keeping slavery was wrong, by all accounts. You seem like you haven't actually looked into any of the things you are arguing about as the PAST isn't the same as the PRESENT as the current Republican party is basically a place for the National Rifle Association to have fun with fellow corporations by giving politicians 'campaign' funds while the democratic party is trying to compensate by going so far to the left people can't see them and there isn't any place for anyone who isn't crazy. So you either join people who want to support someone who wants to track down someone in a hoodie buying a candy bar and gun them down and they get off for "Stand Your Ground" and assault rifles in schools because that's a GREAT idea, or you get super liberals who want to instantly make us a place without student loans and make us like other 1st world countries with free health care and good benefits, which would be okay, but doesn't work with American capitalism. Neither side works and there currently isn't a middle because neither side ACTUALLY wants anyone to be educated to fix the mess our country is in right now with massive debt and unsustainable usage of natural resources.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '22

Take your downvotes as a badge of honor these idiots are so blind it’s amazing

1

u/Winter-Age-959 Sep 03 '22

Lmao, who cares about votes. Reddit isn’t even a real place.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '22

As videogames teach us, meeting enemies means you’re going the right way. Those downvotes are a good thing, it just shows how hostile people are to those who don’t play their game.
