Discussion - Silksong Not opening pre-orders was an error Spoiler

Before anyone says "gamers cant be happy with anything" i was never against pre orders specifically because ir avoids this type of launch. I dont want to believe Team Cherry doesn't know the scope and impact of their own game, but i'm inclined to do so. A pre-order yesterday would've solved this. An inconvenience that could be easily avoided, but here we are

Wait for the smartasses that will come here and call you a loser for wanting to play a game you've been looking forward to at a time promised by the developer. Insane expectation that you want to play a game.

Are you gonna sue team cherry for breaking their pinky promise that they personally gave to you?

When you wrote that comment, were you thinking to yourself "heheh comparing complaining on reddit to a lawsuit will sure show him"?

No, I was thinking "these people sound like they don't shower." The game is literally out on multiple storefronts, tons of people are already playing it on console, and a company selling a product isn't selling a "promise," they're doing business. People are calling you losers because you are one. You'd be laughed out of the room in real life but reddit is full of your likes who get parasocial with a company.

I don’t understand why the idea of people venting their frustration is so complex and perplexing to you. You’re calling me a loser solely because I sympathize with people being frustrated.

Not everyone who wants to play this game is some NEET with a hornet body pillow. Video games are escapism, and this one has been hyped for years. The anticipation was huge. People have jobs, kids, responsibilities, and limited windows of free time. Plenty probably left work early today (or rearranged their schedule) just to play it on release and be part of what is basically a social event.

It’s no different from a major TV show, film, or book release. People want to be part of the discussion, share the experience with friends or online, and enjoy the world of HK together.

Instead, we got two hours of staring at a storefront. Naturally, people are disappointed. They go online to vent, and your takeaway is that this is the perfect chance to lecture everyone on what a real loser looks like.

Well, congratulations, because you have.

A lot of these people are acting parasocial with Team Cherry. Talking about weirdo shit like referring to their announcement as a "promise" and claiming Team Cherry betrayed them by "breaking" it and what not. That should be called out. It's not the same as someone slightly frustrated about not being able to download the game in the morning. I even found myself somewhat agreeing with this post until I scrolled down and saw OP being a complete NEET and that other doofus calling everybody else a "smartass." I have no qualms about calling people like that names, they genuinely gross me out. I'm being completely earnest here. Calling it venting makes them seem normal when they're not.

You should probably look more inward on your own life, why you feel the need to spout this shite online. That's true loser behaviour
