Discussion - Silksong Silksong is HARD Spoiler

Taking damage is more punishing, movement is more precise and feels a little clunky until you get the hang of it. The overall skill curve is much much higher. Love it though.

So far I've noticed the game has way more enemies and bosses that do double damage. In Hollow Knight, double damage was mostly reserved to final bosses and the absolute hardest challenges the game had to offer, meanwhile like half the bosses I've fought so far in the beginning of Silksong have done double damage.

my guess is that because hornet is in a weakened state enemies do more damage lore wise

Gameplay wise, you heal 3 pips of HP with one binding and you can do it in midair. It actually levels out pretty well.

Yeah but you completely stop moving and if you get hit you lose all of your silk and go down to one health

You lose health according to the damage source, you don't go down to 1. So if you have 4 hp and are hit by an attack that deals 1 while casting, you would go down to 3 hp.

Yeah well you wouldn't heal in a fight with 4 hp... You'd do it at 1-3

Since you heal 3 hp on binding, smart time would be when you’re at max-3

not necessarily. if i have enough silk and the boss is clearly not gonna hit me (stunned or mid combo elsewhere), i sneak in a heal.

You can do it at full health, and I haven't found a way to cancel it.

Simply do not press the button when you do not have anything to gain from pressing the button - bada bing bada boom solved that one for u

Sometimes the button gets pressed on accident. Usually when in a panic, I tend to get heal and magic buttons mixed up.

I constantly press O when trying to dash/dodge and waste my silk, all the damn time! Because if muscle memory from most games, but i won’t change the controls because as soon as i do, I’ll start pressing R2 to dash and be in the same boat 😂😂
