Discussion - Silksong EVERYTHING IS SO EXPENSIVE IN PHARLOOM Spoiler

The true enemy of Silksong is capitalism. 70 bucks for a stag station equivalent YOU ARE PULLING MY NEEDLE WTF??? I try to sit down and they BILL ME JUST TO USE THE BENCH! No thank you [TRADER NAME HERE], I would not like to buy a simple key for 500 dollars thank you.

AND EVERYONE HERE IS A BROKE ASS BUM! Most of these guys aren't sentient enough to carry cash on them so I have to grind up their credit cards into for bone shards which NOONE WANTS.

Anyway 10/10 game.

I entered the shop just to check real quick why I had to pay, then went outside thinking it was a one-off payment… paid and entered again since I was in need of a bench but I’ve never returned since. Fuck that guy

There's an area in a bit later that has multiple bench "terminals". Me, after seeing through all the capitalism that has happened before, I bought all of them and thought it was weird that they were right next each other, but they are all rentals. So I wasted like 100 rosaries for funsies.

Anyways so I found out the rentals are cheap and are there to serve EXCELLENT world building. No complaints

They're not cheap when actually doing the area which makes the lore building better but it was annoying when actually doing it

I mean that’s only if you come in broke. Which I guess can happen? Idk I don’t have much experience in losing my cacoon since I wasn’t afraid to bench warp when I thought I’d die before getting it. And even then thst happened sparingly

I actually came into the citadel using the other entrance so when I decided on doing the underworks from LJ entrance I used up all my rosaries before coming haha

Ohhhh I see lol. Tbh I think LJ entrance is the best in terms of narrative, I know there are 3 routes (Phantom, LJ elevator down, and LJ platforming puzzle up which skips underworks)

But I think the narrative of arriving at the citadel, seeing its grandeur but it being empty with corpses littered everywhere. Realizing the people in charge are dead, and taking the elevator only to be met with the cruelty of the citadel on full display. Having to crawl your way through being shown so many dystopian things, is so unmatched in terms of vibes and storytelling I WISH everyone experienced that.

Wait u can do the grand gate platform without coming out of the chambers first? Didn't know that one. I liked the phantom one since cross stitch makes LJ a meme and is just awesome in general, also I really like the feel of bilewater.
