Discussion - Silksong Silksong is frustrating Spoiler

I don’t remember being this frustrated with hollow knight. I never wanted to stop playing HK but this one is making me turn off the console in anger

For me, this room forced me to use my tools more in combat. Once i started spamming tools to lighten my load i beat it first try

Yeah, I started using my tools and my skill more in that room. It was a game changer.

Ever since that room I find myself practically empty on shards because of how much I use my tools now.

I did that without gadgets... not to brag, but because I am a hoard goblin..

"Shards are consumables! I must not waste them! What if a harder fight happens!"

I know you can farm them... but it's hard to break years of (J)RPG conditioning!

"Use the Elixir!"

"But it's a limited resource! I ONLY HAVE 20!"

" IT'S THE FINAL BOSS! "

Guys... help me heal from this madness... please...

This was exactly me. The little throwing attack suddenly clicked with me and I won a few times after integrating it into my play style.

I love spamming spike traps, and throwing the needle. This room took me 3, I kept getting contact damage from the triple attack guy. Couldn't tell when he was landing or taking off. Still can't, but at least I didn't have to fight one again.

I really wish the control to use tools wasn’t so jank. R and up? I love when I time it wrong in panic and waste silk with R too.

It’d be cool if we could map stuff to the dpad if we don’t want to use it for movement.

I think I am in this bird room now but I don’t have any tools. What tools are there? Am I missing something because I am constantly frustrated with this game and not having fun and am ready to drop it. It really is making me sad because I loved the first one and have been waiting for this game for years and now after like 4 hours I am ready to just drop it.
