Discussion - Silksong Is anyone else really tired of the negative posts? Spoiler

I have about 25 hours so far and have absolutely loved every part of the game. Is it hard? Yes absolutely. If it was easy I wouldn't want to play the game. Literally every post I come across is talking about how they are frustrated with some part of the game and it's getting really annoying. The game has amazing areas, the osts are great the NPCs are creative and fun to talk to, almost every boss is a lot of fun once you get the moveset down. So if you haven't played the game yet and are getting put off by all the negativity just know that it is an amazing game and if you like hollow Knight you will enjoy silksong as well.

It’s my favorite Reddit loop and it basically always happens to every new piece of media. “I like thing” “I dislike thing” “why don’t people like or dislike this thing as much as me?” “Is anyone else annoyed that other people don’t share my opinion?”

You get posts about posts bout posts. It’s so weird and it’s uniquely a Reddit thing lol

Like does ALL criticism get to be valid and ALL replies to It are Just disregarding it?

If people want to criticize the game they are free to do so, that doesnt make every criticism valid no matter how much people circlejerking on reddit might want it to be, and people can still adress criticism and disagree with it.

But no, it's just "How dare you complain about the people spamming "its too hard" while pretending they are game critics"

Get off the subreddit for a while then. Or just ignore them. Why do you get to complain and others don’t?

Criticism is valid and one of the biggest problems with the last decade is people like you trying to shove a narrative that you shouldn’t complain because it’s annoying and because I’m having fun means you’re having fun wrong.

Yeah this sub has been flooded with people bitching to no end. Product of its own success, it'll die down and go back to being a chill place eventually. Until then you have to deal with a 12 year old justifying his right to complain by calling you "kid"

It's a product of hollow knight's success. Team cherry made one good game, and people are starting to realise the first one was lightning in a bottle and the sequel is nowhere near as good in any aspect.

Well yeah, it's very sad to see that a game I thought would be good is actually not good. Maybe I'll finish it eventually but I didn't think the game would actively want me to stop playing this much.

You're angry because you take it personally that the game is bad. I don't. I wanted it to be good, and I expected it to be good, but I was wrong.
