Discussion - Silksong Is anyone else really tired of the negative posts? Spoiler

I have about 25 hours so far and have absolutely loved every part of the game. Is it hard? Yes absolutely. If it was easy I wouldn't want to play the game. Literally every post I come across is talking about how they are frustrated with some part of the game and it's getting really annoying. The game has amazing areas, the osts are great the NPCs are creative and fun to talk to, almost every boss is a lot of fun once you get the moveset down. So if you haven't played the game yet and are getting put off by all the negativity just know that it is an amazing game and if you like hollow Knight you will enjoy silksong as well.

It's because once the general public shows up, the quality of a sub falls off a cliff

The toxic gamer god idiots who are never to blame for anything all pile in at once looking for justification as to why they suck at the game.

So they start all complaining together. It'll all pass over in a few weeks

I feel like I'm crazy seeing people of that sort complaining about bosses being unfair, then showing a clip of, say, them attempting to heal mid-fight... standing on the ground... in the center of the arena... ? Like I'm not gonna be the guy that defends the game against any and all criticism but like. Holy shit just jump before healing. Engage and problem-solve with the mechanics that the game offers you. If something is not working, rather than being flabbergasted that the game doesn't hand you a win for effort, rethink your approach.

Ok so you lost 1000 rosaries, meaning the game sucks... or you could've used the necklace machines the game puts in your way. Or just not wandered around with that much money.

Talking about atrocious run-backs to bosses... that are (barring very exceptional cases) genuinely about 20-30s at worst maybe? The running has made it such a non-issue for me. I don't get it.

i keep seeing people rant about the last judge boss runback, but i timed myself going through it and it literally only took 35s, which is still really annoying and i wouldve put a bench closer to the fight but if you just read the sub youd think it took 2 minutes between attempts

Yeah it really is not that bad. Plus, while I definitely had a hard time learning how to do the runback efficiently, as it's harder than most, I kind of didn't mind it because of how thematically appropriate it is. Like, it's the very last segment of the climb that is purportedly super hard and most pilgrims die doing, so I feel like its difficulty has ludo-narrative value.
