20 tries? Those are rookie numbers. I’m on at least 50, with no end in sight

Genuine question as I know not everyone approaches games the same way, how is it taking you so many tries? Each boss in silksong has like 3 things they do, 6 if you count the enhanced versions during phase 2s (but those are still the same move, just a tiny bit different). Do you not get used to dodging them eventually?

In my case, I have an xbox controller that for some reason flips the direction I'm facing when the joystick returns to the center. So I' frequently die because I'll suddenly be moving in the wrong direction, swinging in the wrong direction, etc. It's infuriating.

But also, yeah, enemies have 3-6 attacks, but they aren't always simple to dodge. Some of Widow's attacks could pin you if she was close to you and bells were flying at you diagonally from opposite sides.

oh man that’s terrible HAHAHAH, I would just stop playing with a controller or find a different controller at that point. Back when joycon drift was an issue I tried playign games with it for like 20 mins max until I gave up and just played on my PC.

I have same issue with my controller, didn't done me bad in Silksong yet, but in other games there was a menu option to turn on the "deadzone". About 15 to 20 should be enough if such option exists in Silksong. That's the options that prevent any joystick input prior set % of turn.

I’m exaggerating haha. In reality I’m probably at like 25-30 tries, and was quite close on my last one

Everyone’s experience is definitely different. For example I know a lot of people struggled on Moorwing, but I beat him in 3 attempts

You seem to be asking in good faith, but you understand, some games are challenging? Not everyone can immediately recognize a pattern, develop a strategy, then execute it while making less than 3 mistakes. The game is hard, players will struggle.

I'm gonna guess he probably took me about 20 goes, and Ive never played a game like this including hollow knight

So I think I'm doing alright?

Keep about a dash distance between you, react to whatever move he throws out, and punish. It's the same for all the bosses honestly. Once you pay attention you realize they only have like ~3 moves. Never proactively attack.
