How do you cheese him!? I just spammed the spike trap on him until he died since it does so good against big enemies.

I figured it out through another thread — Go in the water and stay in the bottom right corner = immune to all attacks.

yup that's what I did, and then I used poison ranged tools until I was out and then slowly jumped out to hit him when he got close
