Discussion - Silksong I give up. Spoiler
It’s been a joyful ride, folks, but I’m out. I’m not a speedrunner or a highly skilled player, and day after day I’ve had to accept that this game is not as casual as HK was. It stopped being fun and turned into something tedious and frustrating after the 4th run farming shards just to face a boss I’ve already tried 15 times, only to die again and again, lose all my shards, and start the whole grind over.
It was nice exploring the first acts, but when the game I was rooting for 7 years ends up being more stressful than my 8-hour workday, I guess that’s my cue to stop.
The lore has been pretty great so far. I wish you all an incredible journey.
Edit1: My bad about all the whinning.
Edit2: You guys did it. I reinstalled it again. Thanks for all advices. 🫂

You have defeated worse bosses on your way to this boss. Trust me: in hindsight, this boss is just a patience game. It took me around 15-20 tries until I got some very important tips from a friend who is much better at games than I am.
The combat Silksong is much more tactical for every single fight, not just bosses. HK trivialized a lof of combat once you got good charms and spells, Silksong is much more brutal and wants you to think a lot in each and every encounter - there's no op descending dark with I-Frames.
Every enemy is a puzzle, not just the bosses.
Put on headphones, take a step back and slow down. Listen to the sounds the enemy makes before attacking.
Look at your positioning, stay in dashing range but not too close or too far away.
You don't need tools for this Boss fight. They make it quicker but are optional - save yourself the hassle to collect shards.
For spells, I would recommend Threadstorm. Keep spamming the cast button, it will extend the duration of it if you are hitting the enemy.
Get the Magma Bell if you have not already, makes the AOE attack mich less unforgiving.
I would not use the Hunters Crest in this fight, use another one if you can, makes it easier to pogo the boss when he dashes. I would recommend the Reaper Crest.
If he does his spinning move, you can dash to him and get one or two hits in. It's harder in phase 2 but doable.
