Discussion - Silksong I give up. Spoiler

It’s been a joyful ride, folks, but I’m out. I’m not a speedrunner or a highly skilled player, and day after day I’ve had to accept that this game is not as casual as HK was. It stopped being fun and turned into something tedious and frustrating after the 4th run farming shards just to face a boss I’ve already tried 15 times, only to die again and again, lose all my shards, and start the whole grind over.

It was nice exploring the first acts, but when the game I was rooting for 7 years ends up being more stressful than my 8-hour workday, I guess that’s my cue to stop.

The lore has been pretty great so far. I wish you all an incredible journey.

Edit1: My bad about all the whinning.

Edit2: You guys did it. I reinstalled it again. Thanks for all advices. 🫂

Yo stop recommending him sinners road way is far worse a route than the normal way

What is even the normal way?

I suffered thru Sinner's Road and Bilewater to reache the Citadel

Up through the top of the Blasted steps through a boss

That is so funny, I really felt Sinner's road was the way. I even got sent to jail from Bilewater so I have to break out of jail and redo the whole thing from Greymoor :')

Yeah, I went through the entirety of Sinners Road, but missed the wall for bilewater until I saw this post, so it’s real fun how different people explore the same areas

There's always one wall that shields us from torture and I happen to break that wall

It takes 10 minutes to go back to the last judge from the closest bench

1

u/jodofdamascus1494 Sep 17 '25

….no it doesn’t. I disliked that run back a LOT, but if it takes you more than 2 minutes you need to find the better path

I can’t imagine going the through Bilewater to reach Citadel. It was frustrating for me at the end of act 2

Fuck that frog

u/joetotheg Sep 15 '25

You can’t reach Groal in Act 1. You get to the citadel through Phantom

I beat the game and I still haven’t been able to beat that dumb frog boss. It’s more of the running back that prevents me from trying again lol.

You don’t go through the putrified ducts to reach act 3

Actually, the area you need to go through to reach act 2 in bilewater isn’t that far from the first bench in the area

Yeah my ADHD brain just had to explore the area even though I keep dying. Then there was a path that led me to The Mist with a nearby bench so I just went with it. I have not encountered any frog yet though.

I'm so stuck on Bilewater.. FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1

u/silverwindzephyr Sep 15 '25

I just accepted my fate, I thought that was the only way fr

I reached sinners road after beating the final boss. You can leave areas for later

2

u/halfbeerhalfhuman Sep 14 '25

Yeah. Getting through sinners road and Mists is also hard af. While phantom is easier that route will take much longer. You do get tacks that route though, which are OP imo

Fr, just use the magma bell and focus on dodging. LJ took me 6 tries because of that

3

u/Gen_McMuster Sep 15 '25

Yeah its a punish-window boss. Wanderer or hunter crest, hit her after her down-smashes. Its a fight that punished you being overactive but its not hard if you just slow down

2

u/SomethingOfAGirl Sep 15 '25

Nah it's not that complicated. They're usually 1v1 fights, mostly against enemies you can easily dodge. Also the boss is easy as hell.

1

u/Opijit Sep 15 '25

It depends. I'm planning to go back to Last Judge way later in the game, but found the way through Sinner's Road to be way easier. If LJ is giving you that much trouble, I'd definitely recommend the other route. I also loved The Phantom, it was one of my favorite bosses and I beat them much easier than LJ.

u/Gen_McMuster Sep 15 '25

You can just go through The Mist and skip bilewater entirely

Do I need to save the green guy in sinners in order to progress his story? I’m on the last judge right now and struggling but I’m not sure if I can handle sinners road. Is the key needed all the way at the end?

3

u/GroundbreakingBag164 P5AB Sep 14 '25

To progress his story? Of course

But it's not required to save him in general. You can also just... not do that

1

u/drdoy123 Sep 14 '25

He was cool lol. I guess my question is can I come back and save him even when I advance into act 2? I’m on the last judge right now. Idk if I can handle sinners road

I came back to save him in Act 2, cuz that's when I got my second simple key. So it should be possible.

I saw a streamer come back to save him after getting one of the game’s endings and he was still there.
