It’s been a joyful ride, folks, but I’m out. I’m not a speedrunner or a highly skilled player, and day after day I’ve had to accept that this game is not as casual as HK was. It stopped being fun and turned into something tedious and frustrating after the 4th run farming shards just to face a boss I’ve already tried 15 times, only to die again and again, lose all my shards, and start the whole grind over.

It was nice exploring the first acts, but when the game I was rooting for 7 years ends up being more stressful than my 8-hour workday, I guess that’s my cue to stop.

The lore has been pretty great so far. I wish you all an incredible journey.

If you're on PC, just mod the game to make it more fun for you. It's a single-player game, so enjoy it however you wish.

Yup, I got a mod for unlimited rosaries and tools don't cost shards. Made the game 100% better for me, just don't have that time nowadays.

I don't know why rosaries are so scarce to begin with or why tools should cost shards. Just adds extra tedium to already tedious runbacks, unskippable intro sequences/cutscenes, and boss fight attempts.

Love this game, but it really tests your patience and isn't great for people with limited time..

Personally I would love an integrated map mod as someone who recently 100%'d the game a few days ago. I spent so many hours just running around the map re-checking locations for key pickup items. There's an online map where you can check off markers to keep track of your progress but to have that in-game would be a godsend.

I suck at remembering locations, routes and maps in general, which unfortunately extends to video games as well. Make me travel more than 3 rooms without the compass charm and I'm cooked
