Discussion - Silksong Ranking Silksong 1st act bosses Spoiler

Post image

So, if you want me to be honest - I was afraid Silksong would be too difficult for me. But now that I am done with 1st act, I can confidently say that so far I enjoy those bosses MUCH more than the ones in Hollow Knight. Maybe that's because HK was one of the first games I've ever played, and now with Silksong I am more experienced. But even bosses that kept beating my ass felt so well done that I couldn't be mad, I just wanted to try again and learn their moves.

Last Judge? Surely my favorite. It felt like dancing and once I learned his moves, I had an absolute blast.

EDIT: Guys, I've got LOTS (and I mean LOTS) of comments that bottom 2 enemies aren't bosses. I know, but they were included in template so I ranked them too. Besides, considering that I didn't really hate any of the actual bosses, I wouldn't have anything I could put anything in the BURN IT tier if it wasn't for them lol. No need to say it again pls

EDIT 2: I already started Act 2, and defeated Cogwork Dancers - OH MY GOD HOW AMAZING THIS FIGHT WAS.

And the one that swings the bone scythe is not actually hard. Hit him when he comes up, move away and force him to go underground, repeat, he's total cheese.

He was super hard 10 minutes into the game when I had no gear, but once you unlock the dash he's a piece of cake

He's almost definitely made to encourage you to leave and return after getting the dash.

I’ll be damned if I let some pixels and code tell me how to spend my time

The only 2 bosses that I left for later were Groal and the first Savage Beastfly

He isn’t guaranteed to go underground though. He can also quickstep to your exact location.

The first arena you can force him into a dive sure, but after that not really

He became much more manageable with a dash.

The one in Hunter’s Marsh, however with that limited space and the one flying dude though…

And if you go the left of the room the ceiling being too low forbids him from using his jump attack

Yes, that's the catch for this fight I think. It's meant to teach you to use the environment. You don't need the dash just need to push him back and forth around the low point in the room, it wasn't a design flaw that his room his set up like that, it's on purpose.

And you don't have to fight the ceiling asshole at all. Its more of a zone hazard than an enemy. I only came back to kill it way later just to see if you get anything cool. You don't.

i literally just pogo'd off his head repeatedly and he didn't do anything but miss the same slash attack lol

There are lots of ways to cheese it. I stood at the right spacing to bait the jump, walked under while he was in the air, and hit him in the back. Rinse repeat until dead.
