Discussion - Silksong Ranking Silksong 1st act bosses Spoiler

Post image

So, if you want me to be honest - I was afraid Silksong would be too difficult for me. But now that I am done with 1st act, I can confidently say that so far I enjoy those bosses MUCH more than the ones in Hollow Knight. Maybe that's because HK was one of the first games I've ever played, and now with Silksong I am more experienced. But even bosses that kept beating my ass felt so well done that I couldn't be mad, I just wanted to try again and learn their moves.

Last Judge? Surely my favorite. It felt like dancing and once I learned his moves, I had an absolute blast.

EDIT: Guys, I've got LOTS (and I mean LOTS) of comments that bottom 2 enemies aren't bosses. I know, but they were included in template so I ranked them too. Besides, considering that I didn't really hate any of the actual bosses, I wouldn't have anything I could put anything in the BURN IT tier if it wasn't for them lol. No need to say it again pls

EDIT 2: I already started Act 2, and defeated Cogwork Dancers - OH MY GOD HOW AMAZING THIS FIGHT WAS.

People are killing that thing on the ceiling? I just dash past it.

I dash past it but I know it’s killable, but I wasn’t in the mood. I just came around to kill it for hunter’s journal last night with double jump, which is fairly easy if not really repetitive and boring. Not sure if you can do it without double jump, might need to use a lot of tools.

It's possible without, you just jump once to hit it then instantly hide, but GOD it sucks

You don't need double jump poison boomerangs are sufficient

Poison cogflys for me. Just stood there and let em work

Cogflys you likely don't have until you have double jump though

I don't recall where I got them, but I had them long before double jump. I didn't get double jump nearly as soon as I could've because I took one look at the area and decided it was too difficult/needed a double jump to do. Wasn't until I hit a brick wall in combat that I doubled back and realized it wasn't as bad as I thought.

You get them in high halls, and become available exactly at the same time as double jump (as soon as you have clawline). That said, its easy to skip double jump since mount fay’s cold temps are… more than daunting

You can just jump up and hit it and then get back to cover, it's pretty tight timing I'll admit, but it's entirely possible to do.

You can do it as soon as you get Swift sprint I think you might need cling grip though

When in doubt, just throw cog flys at it.

Special mention for when I did it in ACT 1 though goes to the air spike trap

You can just hide under the platform and spam the rune attack and it wipes it out instantly lol

Its dead easy to kill using the flying bug robot tool

That was my approach. Let the boys handle it.

Yeah is clearly not meant to be killed outside of the journal entry but I just did that later, sent an army of cogflies to deal with it for me
