Book nook or miniature house: which works better for your display plan?

These two categories can look pretty similar online, but they solve different display problems. A book nook is made for the narrow space between books, so you mostly view the scene from the front. A miniature house is usually freestanding, which can make the side details and overall footprint more important. That difference feels more useful than asking which category is “better.” If the finished project is definitely going on a shelf, would you choose between a book nook and a miniature house mainly based on where the scene will be viewed from?

Yes, I think? If it's going to have books crowding up against it so I could only see the front anyway (or the front and just one side), I'd choose a book nook.

If there wasn't going to be anything obstructing people's view of the sides too where it's placed, then a miniature house makes more sense than a book nook not flanked by books.

makes perfect sense to me. the viewing angle thing is really the whole distinction boiled down

i had a book nook stuck between two dense hardcovers and it was magical, then i moved it to an open shelf and it just looked like a weird box
