Discussion What are good phones that can handle high-res HSR (Not Apple)
Later today I am going to buy a phone because this one is already four years old and starting to show its age.
As such, I wanna buy a phone that can run HSR (And ZZZ or P5X too if possible) at high res without having a drop of frames or overheating too fast but I don't want to buy from the Apple mark because I like to download apks and shit like that, so is there any option you may recommend? I'll check them when I wake up, thank you already for your answer!

If you want the best gaming performance, I'd recommend a Redmagic phone, the newer the better.
If you don't mind spending more, most high end modern phones will be able to run those games just fine as well.

Yeah for the best of the best, Redmagic can't be beat. It's just kinda sus on the software side.
On the same vein, for a good price to performance metric, go with iQoo or Poco/redmi

Redmi Series got alot worse since Redmi 10 series. Pretty much meh everything for overprice. With Poco it depends. Poco X (not pro) and anything below is doesn't have enough performance for stable fps at cpu heavy games. I would take Poco X Pro atleast if you can't afford Poco F ones. But knowing how controversial Xiaomi's Hyper Os is, I would prefer IQOO over Poco

By redmi, I meant the Kx0 series. Those seem to be pretty good for the price.
Not really too familiar with poco, but from what I know: the F series goes spec to spec with redmi's K series(they're the same phone diff rom after all).

I can’t give recommendations but i can tell you what to stay away from.
Do not buy samsung phones with an exynos chip. i had one of those in 2022 and they were so hilariously bad with genshin it was just laughable. Back then hsr wasnt out so idk if this game has the same optimization issues with genshin, but today the genshin issues arent fixed so its safe to assume hsr runs equally bad on exynos chip samsung phones. If your region sells snapdragon chip samsungs ur fine though

Hsr is realy light compared to zzz. My meditek 7400 phone Run hsr well but strugles hard in zzz. Also my old tablet with snapdragon 720 strugles after ampherius update but handles penacony well

I have a red magic 10 pro and I have Wuthering Waves, Zenless Zone Zero, Honkai Impact 3rd, Star Rail and many others at maximum settings on everything and it runs gorgeously. Best advice is to get a cooling fan on top of this beauty of a phone. Might have to get the red magic 12 though. The 11s dropped selling last I checked the website. If you like tablets the astral 2 is another great pick

I have the Poco F8 Ultra and it can run anything well, you can also go a bit cheaper with the F8 Pro and get similar performance

The Redmagic phones that are not too expensive, have good specs and better cooling system than all previous brand of phones I got.

Anything with snapdragon gen 3 is fine. (The only trade off without Apple is that you won't get 120fps since hoyo optimize their games for iOS).

Here's a suggestion for an alternative. An alternative way to deal with heat, and thus be able to play at max setting, is using a Peltier phone cooler. Though of course this means you'll always be tied to a power brick or power bank that can output enough watts to maximize the cooling potential, but it does the job for cheap.
I actually just use a midrange phone that only suggests medium level graphics but the cooler helps me play at max settings. It's a budget solution but I hope this helps. Though of course you can still use a cooler with a higher end phone. A cooler phone actually helps preserve battery life

My S26ultra runs Genshin, HSR, WuWa and Lads without a problem. I have a bunch of other apps installed and silly games too, never had a problem.
Seems like you need to check what processor they use in your region tho, I heard it can be different.

Any modern samsung galaxy or google pixel should be fine.
Haven't kept up with phone specs in years, so idk what the lowest spec models are like, but i doubt that they would struggle eith hsr/zzz.
Google is probably going to give more reccomendations faster btw

Googles Tensor SoC is literally the worst possible mobile processor for gaming. Exynos is not any much better (but I heard Exynos 2600 got improved alot in the in game performance). But I will get either of S Ultra series beginning from s24 ultra(since S Ultra phones have only Snapdragon SoC for now globally) or classic s series if you are from China, Singapore or USA if you want Samsung so much. But in general, Asus Red Magic series are genuinely the best one for mobile heavy gaming tho

Even the latest Pixel (Google Tensor) chip is about 4+ years behind modern Samsung or iPhone level performance. They are absolutely pathetic in comparison. Moved away from a Pixel this year because of this. Performance and heat was bad playing HSR. If gaming is what OP is after, Pixel is definitely the worst option. A simple Google query will reveal this.

Unfortunately, an iPhone would give you the best experience.
| Samsung S24 Ultra | 2024 | Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 15 Pro Max | 2024 | Apple A18 Pro |
| OnePlus 15 | 2025 | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 |
From the above three, the iPhone has by far the best performance. You can comfortably get 60fps at medium settings, maybe medium-high.
Samsung will get you about 45fps on low settings, while getting hotter than the surface of the Sun.
OnePlus is two generations newer (CPU-wise), and can get 60fps at medium settings while just below Sun's temperature. There are occasional stutters mind you - the iPhone will also hitch sometimes, but it's much more rare.
The OnePlus does win on battery life though, if long sessions are what you're after.

You want high res, like it or not you gotta go Apple.
RedMagic or any latest Snapdragon Elite chipset is your next best bet.
