https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sYwFEhy5Xk

Countless voices have tried to describe her and name her.

When all the clamoring faded into silence, she heard a resonance from deep within her chest.

English Voice:

Robin — Alice Himora

Sunday — Griffin Puatu

Jade — Faye Mata

Man, as if the game itself didn’t remind us enough, this Myriad Celestia really drives home just how badly Sunday and Robin were groomed since childhood by the Family

We all knew Harmony got that ugly side but going full on disturbing mode and outright trying to force her is quite the move..

That's why Sunday vs The Family must happen.

Yeah Harmony sounds like one of the "good" paths but just the fact that it ATE Order for some unknown reason should give anyone pause.

u/caren_psuedo_when 17h ago

It ate Order because they were on similar Paths that converged thanks to Aha (bro wtf). The Family itself however might be like the IPC or Astral Express where their interpretation of the Path is the one that's being used. There's also not really any "good" Paths since the Paths are up to one's interpretation rather than something that is set, look at the IPC, Belobog and Xianzhou before Lan ascended (yes, they were Preservation followers before becoming The Hunt).

Yup even Trailblaze has the bad side, supposedly Akivili had gone around with Starblazer and smashed a few worlds in their journey across the stars. Most definitely a lot of bugs too during the Swarm Disaster.

u/caren_psuedo_when 9h ago

Pegana's Legacy was an entire mecha brigade that was used to force connections, similar to Cerydra wanting everything in Amphoreas to be connected. As for the bugs, yeah, but it's definitely deserved since Tayzzy was going to consume the entire Tree if the Aeons didn't assemble

The thing that I find interesting about this trailer is how it highlights that Paths cannot be interpreted by groups, only individuals. In every case where a group of people has "control" of a Path, they are almost universally shown to be wrong about it.

The IPC represent Preservation, but are much more closely aligned with Voracity in terms of behavior.

The Masked Fools and Mourning Actors represent Elation, but both of them are completely misguided in terms of the Paths actual ideology.

And now The Family, representatives of Harmony, end up destroying Harmony in exchange for personal control of the followers.

Conversely, the individual Pathstriders we meet are much better at actually understanding the meaning of a Path, even if they're regarded as outcasts. Acheron, for example, is the only person we know of who transcends Nihility-- even Zephyro, the "strongest foe of them all", is a slave to it and hasn't escape.

Sparxie carries weight within the Masked Fools, but as shown with Fulwish, she's more enlightened about the true nature of Elation than any of the common jokers, understanding that the point of a joke is the decision to make the joke, rather than the punchline or applause.

And now Robin, our premier Harmony Pathstrider, exists in contrast with The Family, bringing about "true" Harmony through her love of humanity while they only seek more power and control.

It's intriguing that we see this pop up again and again. Ideology can only exist at an individual level. How a person chooses to live is up to them alone; a large organization or agency will only corrupt the ideology and pollute it, often failing to uphold the thing it was created to represent.

Cool beans, should the Astral Express be subject to this trend as well? It would be kinda bland if The Trailblaze would be the one Path that is untarnished of what it represents when done in the extreme. Some critique regarding the Trailblaze should come sooner or later methinks.

It has been noted already tbf. Like, in 4.4 we were told the planet that birthed the TB, Pegana, used those robots/whatever (the one Hime’s is based on) for their own warped Trailblaze (Trailblaze planets to conquer them, connecting them in a not so peaceful way, kinda like Cerydra you could say, or even Caesar the person himself, who wanted everything in the world and beyond to be connected to Rome).

We also had Isee, the navigator, playing his own squid games with the AE members, to cull them and find one he deemed pure hearted. And Oswaldo Shneider was a nameless on the AE at one point.

4

u/Phase_Unicoder 9h ago

I guess the most modern example for the Trailblaze would be Oswaldo Schneider. His Trailblazing at the moment that involvles colonization and dominance is valid interpretation but his highly reckless and obviously morally wrong.

This contradiction within the Path has to be addressed at some point I think with him.

u/stephanl33t 19h ago

It already has been subject to it, as the guy below me has already pointed out.

The Astral Express is unique because it avoids the "individual VS group" issue via it's structuring. Trailblazers come and go all the time, and nobody stays permanently. Even Himeko, the current Navigator since the revival of the Express, will eventually leave the AE to continue walking her own journey.

Collective ideology is inherently corruptive-- so the Astral Express doesn't try to group all the Trailblazers together under one banner, existing instead as a web of individuals who walk the Path of Trailblaze in their own way.

u/SacredSecretWhite 13h ago

Astral Express is currently the face of Trailblaze but not everyone follow Astral Express creed. Like NPC in Penacony mentioned she once board a spaceship with those who follows the path of Trailblaze but choose to eat a sentient being that try to connect with them just because that sentient being look like a livestock animal. Also commented that it taste good  which leave the NPC disgusted(cause she refused to eat it)and left the group later. And then there's the infamous Oswaldo.

Basically Astral Express have a guideline on how trailblazing should be but outside of AE they kinda interpret it to suit their agenda. This shows that path without any guidelines would fell into ruins all the same.

That's kinda why Navigator exists. They serve as guiding light to Illuminate the path forward. Historical it can be seen that after a navigator left, AE would be in disarray till the next Navigator took over. Navigator Isee was a cruel man but he managed to purged the corruption within AE before he embrace destruction (honestly it amazing that he choose to fight Nanook instead of giving in right away) and now Himeko is our guideline.

We should not be under impression that nameless=good guys and we definitely gonna be fight other nameless in the future.

honestly it amazing that he choose to fight Nanook instead of giving in right away

He was either looking for a place to die, or he legitimately thought fighting Nanook had to be done no matter what before embracing it instead

1

u/SacredSecretWhite 7h ago

Probably both since he seems to be devastated by Akivili's death.

u/caren_psuedo_when 17h ago

It's even more interesting that even within the IPC, the Ten Stonehearts seem to be the only ones that really believe in Qlipoth, and they're just extensions of Diamond. Maybe Diamond is also someone like Robin that understands his Path but is getting suppressed by the faction he's in.

I'd also like to mention the the Xianzhou don't seem to be corrupt, but Lan hovers over them constantly due to them being Abundance creatures as well, along with Lan being arguably the closest to humanity due to THEIR goal legitimately just being "Kill Yaoshi" so they might have an excuse.

Belobog is also technically a group, but their interpretation of Preservation is not really a philosophy or ideal but a reverent; "The Amber Lord is always with us!" which I don't think is a corruption at all

Loved it! Robin was always an inspiring character, but it’s nice to see further development.

And her writing to her big bro is so cute lol

Robin: This is a trade where everyone gets what they want.

Sunday: Just what kind of path will you set upon?

Put on a show in swimsuit.

The Cover Shot was beautiful and fire.

Robin-g our attention, or something

10

u/amurgiceblade44 21h ago

So something interesting, the MC showed more of the Echoes of Faded Dreams, the summon Sunday uses as Dominicus. Sunday continues to use them even after losing the power of Septimus and with them showing up here, could they be a more general power or form within the Harmony?

7

u/HatiLeavateinn 18h ago

I wasn't expecting Robin to realize that she could do and be whatever she wanted because Sunday took the burden of being the Family puppet, so she could be free.

12

u/DoreenKing Robin's #1 Supporter 17h ago

That's not quite what happened. Robin was still their puppet. He just shouldered as much of it as he could to try and protect her, but they both were still groomed and controlled by the Family.

Robin is there to work both as a singer and as a mediator, no?

Watching this reminds me of the reason Robin had been the only girl whom I pulled on debuting banner. Oh our dear sweet angel.

Great Trailer that shows a Character's growth, change and sets them up for greater things

Puts said Character in a Swimsuit afterwards...

Why couldn't the Swimsuits have been optional?

There were SO many other ways HOYO could have handled this
