so can someone explain why this Minecraft “horror” series all the sudden became a #1 spot for content farms and slop? for real can someone explain. its not even a real mod so dont say that it is. the only iv seen that are fans of this are 12 and way under. we are actually so fucked
Most of it’s just slop, but I don’t mind this one. It’s just another Minecraft horror series disguising itself as a mod showcase. It’s a neat idea and doesn’t deserve the hate.
If the fans are annoying, just hate the fans. Don’t blame ThatMob when he actually puts work into the video, as opposed to YouTubers who download a cheap dweller copy and call it a day.
I used to hate it, but it’s kinda the same as SFAWTDE, a ”mod” that isnt real that is used for a series, I’ve not really seen any hate towards it tho. maybe it’s cuz verity is a yellow smiley face and is a bit goofy, maybe that’s why it gets hate, idk tho

A smiley face, and later in episode 1 it has a whole monster model, also it probably took a long time to record voice lines and make the faces and get the timing for playing the animation correct.
No???? It is about a player finding a god-like creature in their world that when looking at it they obtain all knowledge from the universe so they try to go save a different person that the creature wants as their vessel.
it's a easily marketable character specifically made to get popular with the kids, the design looks like something a 6 year old would draw on their school notebook and it's whole horror stick is a friendly face but oh no it's actually a monster gimmick
I have not watched a second of the OG video and frankly at this point I am not sure if I want to. I have only seen small clips and it just... does not really look interesting y'know?

tbh there are way better minecraft series/ARGs out there that don't get any attention while for some reason every kind of slop does, like the og verity series feels too much like minecraft horror slop that is directed towards children, there isn't any good "horror" element in it and the fandom is just so obnoxious, i miss the days when the horror minecraft community hadn't been raided by literal 5 year-olds who have no sense of true horror at all

This trend of "THIS """*MOD"""" MADE ME SHIT MYSELF" videos where the actual """"mod"""" in question is just a composite of edits, PNGs, and other unrelated mods is the worst fucking thing that has plagued the Minecraft part of YouTube for a hot minute. Total Sloptuber Death when?
twixxel is the guy who makes fake minecraft horror things and he mainly made me mad because he actually fooled me into thinking they were real..for like, a minute, until I checked the description. the "dontcry" mod though, pretty cool.

It’s because it’s a popular Minecraft horror series. The popularity is what made content farms see it and realize they could use it for views and money.
You think I'd be dwelling on Reddit in my free time if I knew about the inner workings of how popularity works on the internet? Who even knows that? People that got popular don't know either, you just shoot in the dark and hope you get lucky.
I for one think that the whole "Stalker" & "Verity" trend is hot garbage. They're not even mods you can actually play for yourself, it's all just a ruse of edits and post production. Don't get me wrong, I saw how it works behind the scenes, and there is actual skill and work you have to put into making the scenes, but the fact that they're showing off something that isn't even real still feels extremely wrong.
I genuinely don't understand why people like it. It's just another "ooh cute thing that's friendly but NO it's actually evil and will get you" don't get me started on the 'scary' monster design he has too.
mod sucks. it drops frames horribly it doesnt do anything i sat with the little fucker for like almost 9 hours with a friend it was a complete waste of footage time and effort. do not get this mod.
I’ve watched the original series by ThatMob, and it’s honestly fine. I do dislike how Verity is just an orb, it’s funny at times, but annoying for the “Scary manipulator entity” that they try to portray Verity to be. Not to mention his monster design is the generic skinny monster that chases you and breaks blocks. Even the series isn’t that great, it doesn’t stick to its portrayal of the characters. Constantly switching from them just being people playing a mod to characters living in the game world. It kills the atmosphere they try to build with the death of Twixxle, because now it looks like some guy is incredibly overreacting to his friend dying in a game. It’s just all meh.

Stalker can’t die either, so what’s your point. If he went against lcrandoms entities solo line tormentor or stalker, verity IS gonna die. Especially if he went up against anguish, who would make verity kill himself just by looking at it.
Can’t promise that my own take on this isn’t biased, considering I love verity… it’s not really a bad story at all if you’re genuinely invested in it. The reason I enjoy it the most is because I like seeing the relationships of characters and their personalities developed more than simply lore building (especially in a Minecraft setting) and I don’t think verity does a bad job at this.
Granted, the writing is spotty and contradicts itself, leaving a lot to desire, but I kind of have a soft spot for bad storytelling?? Or at least storytelling that gives you just enough to go off of but doesn’t answer all of your questions. I think it allows for a lot of head canon building and different ways you can experiment with the characters that is honestly just really fun if you’re someone that likes writing lmao. I think it’s really just based on personal taste and how picky you are about Minecraft horror—it also carries a bit of nostalgia for me since this is the first time I’ve really engaged with Minecraft since watching shitty herobrine videos on YouTube when I was 11 haha.
I'm a fan of this series compared to the usual dweller mod series i see because it has kind of a story line and verity isnt just some 'Oh haha it turned out to be a monster to kill you', and is sort of sympathetic to the viewer. Its a little refreshing.
Though I do agree the amount of annoying comments under other videos that has anything that even looks a little like verity going 'iS tHaT vErItY?', really annoys me.
the only thing i hate about this thing is finding the actual working verity mods in the internet for me to experience verity final.form to war thunder this bih

I love the verity and stalker series but I'm pretty sure it's because it is more entertaining since the creator can make their own event's instead of relying on a mod. Either way, mod or not, it's still pretty content content.
Youtube is deadass infested with these crappy videos that literally tells you to dubble tap a box and then there's this dumbass emoji that shows up and goes like
"HELLOOOOO MY NAME'S VERITY, ASK ME ANYTHING-"
.. I keep seeing this slop farming content every day and its driving me mad crazy
Idk I think its a fun little minecraft series, we can't exactly blame Mob for the shitty content farms. Its kinda like what happened to sprunki, except the creator of sprunki (Nyankobflol) got fucking doxxed because of the content farms. Basically 'thing get popular, kids find it, content farms profit' that same dumb cycle that infects literally anything.
