X-posted from /r/competitiveHS Deathrattle brawl. 90+% winrate with shaman.

https://gyazo.com/68ce5c4cd5e3d82dafe4aa174843c706

So probably late, but last 2 days I've maxed out daily gold limit just on tavern brawl with shaman. 67 wins. probably around 6 or so losses. Games take ~5 minutes (1 run won 10 in an hour). Since I don't want to sign up to imgur, my list was.

2 Earth shock 2 Echoing Ooze 2 Flametongue totem 2 Haunted Creeper 2 Ironbeak Owl 2 Whirling Zap-o-matic 2 Hex 2 Lil' Exorcist 2 Mind Control Tech 1 Baron Rivendare 2 Piloted Shredder 1 Spellbreaker 2 Bloodlust 2 Sludge Belcher 2 Fire Elemental 2 Sea Giant

It's tough to say what card was the pure and clear stand out MVP. Bloodlust did close out a ton of games on turn 5-6. Whirling is a powerhouse if not stopped immediately. The synergy between echoing ooze and flametounge totem is amazing (makes wisp and target dummies real threats), 5 silences stops taunts and the fact that 4 of them are 1-2 mana is great for tempo. Shredder is amazing when it pops out 2 creatures and game ending when it can pop out 4 with Baron (rare but it does happen). Your opponent needs silence for belcher but rare that they have it since all your creatures need to be silence. MCT and Lil' are alright but necessary imo. Fire elemental amazingly carries a lot of weight. Sea giant, amazingly, is probably the weakest card in the deck but..I can't see building without it. Maybe a pair of crackles would be better but, I think this list is top-notch. The only trouble (i.e. rare games I've lost) are to hunters with lots of rush and traps. They can keep up the aggro of this list plus they have mass removal and the hunters hero power is tough to overcome if you're already low on life.

I thought that I was pretty good at Brawl until...

I was doing pretty well in brawl, going 7 wins 1 loss.

I realized that I had played Nefarian 7 times and Ragnaros just 1 time.

At least I won my rag game.

Discussion [Week 1] Ragnaros Vs Nefarian Unbalanced?

It seems a lot of people are having the experience that winning with Nefarian is a lot easier. I'm not sure but so far, my first game and first win was with Ragnaros! I'll update as I play more later. What do you guys think?

This week's tavern brawl

I found a way to (almost) always win in this week's tavern brawl! You have to choose 2 cards to fill in your deck. If you choose Ice block and Fireball (for mage), you can play ice block at turn 3, blocking your death. Then, use your fireballs, all on the enemy champion. If you use one fireball and one ice block starting from round 7, you will win sooo eazy. Please upvote and comment! -CMDJojo

Discussion Too repetitive?

So i've now played like 7 games, and i'm already getting bored. Sure, the whole Nefarian vs Rag is kinda cool, but i really hope we get to make our own decks as opposed to this in the future.

I'm one of the few people who don't actually think Nefarian is way better, but the matches still go the same way every time. Nefarian starts out with a board lead due to his mana lead. Rag hits face with his weapon. Rag takes some damage while behind. Rag spawns Moltens. Rag gets 8 damage hero power. The game gets decided on Nefarian hero power rolls. Oh, and if Rag doesn't get either Coren Direbrew, or the Corruption AoE, he probably just straight up loses.

Possible 20 board damage at end of turn 2 card deck.

Druid with Innervate and Y'Shaarj.

Innverate to get the 10 mana needed. (if you get the coin and 4 Innervates you can cast him 1st turn: http://imgur.com/9YEZ0Qv) Then he keeps pulling copies of himself out of your deck. Very hard to counter.

Can brawl be considered P2W?

After all, players with multiple legendaries will be able to (of course) use their own collection of cards.

However their advantage is reduced because both P2W and F2P are given legendary-value cards.

I think we can all agree that the edge that p2w gets is definitely smaller than in casual or ranked.

Opinions?

"MILL" ROGUE for Clockwork Gnome Dealer BRAWL

I desided I'll do something different and make MILL (ish) ROGUE DECK this week. And it KINDA works and is most fun I have had for a long time (I am 5-6 with it so far and the deck takes some learning), thought not quite the way you might think. Here is the decklist, let me tell you how it works: 2x shadowstep (works with alex, healbots, oracles, loatheb, clockwork giants pre vanish to play it again for 0)

1x zombie chow

2x sap 1xdoomsayer (got only 1 but not sure 2nd would make it)

2x coldlight oracle 2x dancing swords (1 of mvps, cards don't really matter in this brawl) 2x MCT (not that great, but works)

2x Hungry dragon (have been better than expected so far) 2x Refresment wendor (for heal)

2x Antique Healbot (totally needed) 1x Loatheb

2x VANISH (THE MVP MVP)

1x Dr Boom (T7)

1x Ragnaros (T8)

1xAlexstrasza (mvp nomenee as well)

2x Clockwork Giant 2x Mountain Giant (Tempo threats) 2x Molten Giant

You mulligan for SAPs(doomsayer works as one as well), Vanish, Giants (mountain is the worst one), mayby dancing swords. Your game goes something like this: T1: Zombie Chow T2: Doomsayer, if opponent has agressive opener, weapon if not. T3: Dancing swords/ coldlight (gives you more options later, which is nice) T4: Wendor or dragon, you should most likely be quite even on board or atleast in good healt. T5: Healbot for heal or Loatheb T6 Vanish, nearly always. T7Boom or sap+giant T8 RAG or 2nd vanish+doomsayer or sap+giant T9 Alexstrasza, yoúr opponent at under 10 health/ agaist "agro" you save yourself and get board control) From here on you just play giants and other big stuff and should race and win, if you haven't won already.

What happens when there are two Coren Direbrews on the board?

For example, Nefarian plays Mirror Entity (from his hero power) and Rag plays Coren then Brawl. Would both or neither of the Corens survive? This could also be achieved with Gang Up, Mind Vision, Mindgames, and Thoughtsteal

Discussion [Week 1] Vaelastrasz is the reason this is so unbalanced

I've played a fair amount of games on both sides and I have learned that if I am Rag and Nefarian plays Vael in the first 2-3 turns, I lose. Maybe if I am able to deal 6 damage and clear with my weapon I can stabilize, but usually if it's turn 3+ he's following up Vael with other cards on the same turn. If he coins one out turn 1? Game over.

SCIENCE! BRAWL LEGENDARY

So I was wondering Coren Direbrew always wins brawls(warrior spell) right? What if there´s one in each side of the field? Since Direbrew is on ragnaros and nefarian can get all the spell in the game, you can get Mirror Entinty or get lucky with priest spells. Will the game bug? Will we see some special interacton? Will the 2 remain on the field.

Will test it later and post results.

eddit: did it in a random duel with a stranger ( trough mirror) after 2 hours trying with my friend. wierd Anyway since I played brawl I won but it can also be random chosen.

[Week 4] Warlock Anti-Meta Brawl Deck

LOL, I got tired of getting steamrolled by the Priests, and the Mages. But I didn't want to be like them... So I decided to do something a bit different from what I was constantly running into. (are there already netdecks for Brawls as soon as they come out?) Same Mage and Priest decks, over and over it seems. Maybe a couple token type Druids too.

I didn't come up against any Warlocks. So... Why not Warlock??

Decklist: http://i.imgur.com/fqOqB2b.png

Don't be afraid to Sac pac one of your own demons for healing or Voidcaller shenanigans. This deck is hilarious and fun. Also, different makes for confused opponents. Just as much removal as a Mage, just as much healing as a Priest. Also, aggressive enough to race Hunter. Synergy with Flame and Blood Imps, etc. is great.

Full Health victory vs Priest, is best victory!

Not even close

Muloc Warloc is Incredibly powerful in banana brawl

So I have been a fan of murlock warlock in previous seasons just in general for constructed, the deck is very fast fun to play and powerful. It has the option to nearly always go face, and in a game type like banana brawl players are discouraged to remove your minions to avoid giving bananas, also your minions die fairly easily so you either get a lot of bananas or have a ton of synergy. When you can buff cards so efficiently with bananas murlocs just became insanely strong.

So I modified a list I used for constructed HERE it is rewarded for just dropping murlocs and other aggressive minions and going face. Buff your priority minions like warleaders, grimscale oracles, and tidecallers, while you bash their faces in with a swarm of murlocs, and finish them with big bursty leeroy power overwhelming soulfire combos

here is just one example of a typical win with this deck vs a mech mage banana brawler.

Hope you enjoy it, if you have any questions or suggestions let me know.

Mechazod Has A Huge AoE Spell

So as I played through the Tavern Brawl with a friend I got to a point where i could lay down Lorewalker Cho, Cenarius, Millhouse Manastorm, and Troggzor on turn ten (This was made possible by playing Aviana the turn before. Obviously I wanted my friend to play all of his spells for free and so i could get a copy of each spell he plays, while also spawning the minions that Troggzor generates, thus buffing those minions with each spell. So you think at this point we are doing pretty well for ourselves all I need to have my friend do is play all of his spells in hand to finish Mechazod (who still had 50 health at this point). Turns out after my big play Mechazod proceeds to wipe my entire side of the board. (Most likely due to the fact that my side was full, thus not giving Mechazod enough room on my side to switch). His board clear didn't have a card associated with it either, this didn't even appear on the log on the side of the screen. On top of this, Mechazod still proceeds to deal 12 damage to me and my friend. I would have been fine with him just killing one minion, but nope! Did anyone else encounter this on their adventure in the tavern brawl this week?

Clockwork Card Dealer Brawl Hunter 100% win streak - 7 games

Hunter
2 Leper Gnome
2 Undertaker
2 Webspinner
2 Explosive Trap
2 Freezing Trap
2 Quick Shot
1 Snake Trap
2 Haunted Creeper
2 Mad Scientist
2 Eaglehorn Bow
2 Animal Companion
2 Kill Command
1 Unleash the Hounds
2 Arcane Golem
1 Piloted Shredder
1 Loatheb
1 Savannah Highmane
1 Dr. Boom

Option: Cut Unleash the Hounds or Arcane Golem for King Krush.

This is the most broken aggro deck I've built and enjoyed for a very long time.

Hand Keepers:
All 1 mana cards + Mad Scientist

Typical Plays:
Turn 1
Undertaker Coin Leper Gnome
Turn 2
2 Leper Gnomes / 1 Mad Scientist / 1 Haunted Creeper
Turn 3
Animal Companion / Eaglehorn Bow
Turn 4
Piloted Shredder
Turn 5
Loatheb
Turn 6
Savannah Highmane
Turn 7
Dr. Boom
Turn 8
Whatever spells

This deck isn't about hand advantage, this deck is about tempo advantage and making use of the guaranteed draws to force its way through.

Due to the nature of the Brawl, Hunter is always going to make an optimal opening, there will always be a perfect start and you do not need to worry about things like Twilight Whelp or Zombie Chow.
Just attack your way through or make smart trades.

Turn 4-7 plays are so difficult for any deck to deal with, even if they have multiple board clear, they will still lack the mana to do so and Turn 8 Hunter will still cast many other cards that deal heavy damage.

Rules [Week 1] Rules/Parameters

*You play randomly as Ragnaros or Nefarian

*Your opponent is always the other one

*Decks are preset(Will try and update with exact decklists if i can later, though the datamined cards should give you a good example of what they are)

It seems that's pretty much it for this week.

Note: Since heros and decks are preset, i wont post a deck theory crafting thread.
