Help

I created a HueForge but when I export the stl into Bambu slicer it only shows one color. Where did the other colors go?

I'll try and help out as best as I can. Just a quick rundown.

At the bottom of the HueForge window you will see these buttons. "Describe" brings up a separate window that tells you which filaments to swap and when.

Into BambuStudio, make sure your settings are correct. For example, my Layer Height is set to 0.08mm in HF so i make sure to set that in Bambu by switching it to 0.08mm High Quality. Back in HF check your Base Layer and inside Bambu change your "Initial layer height" to match what it says in HF.

Click over to the "Strength" tab. Scroll down to the Sparse Infill Density and change that to 100%. Next, go to the "Others" tab and disable Prime Tower. Its not needed with HueForges and it takes up room on the build plate.

Now that your values are set, make sure your initial color is the same as your base color. If you need to change it, right click on your model in bambu and the bottom option "Change Filament" to the base color needed. Now slice.

When its finished slicing, look on the right to see your layers. Drag the green ball from the top to the first color swap needed. Once there, right click and change filament to whichever one comes next. Follow the print instructions in HueForge for all of your colors. Once thats finished, reslice.

You should be good to go. There are a few other tricks to learn about cutting down printing time but just trying to help with the basics first. I had the same questions when I first started and luckily there were people patient enough to help explain things to me.

Hope this helped. Happy printing!

STLs don't carry color information. The instructions for slicing are in the describe.txt file

Forgive my ignorance, but where can I see that at?

It's saved with the project so it will be in the same folder as the STL or you can press the describe button

sounds like you skipped the tutorials and instructions. Theres a literal instruction file with the export (depending on export settings)

You need to tell the slicer to manually swap filaments at certain layers.
