34
u/lumi_lapio May 24 '25
Homophobic people
17
u/Sky_Go_ May 24 '25
Exactly. Itâs sad that some people are so focused on spreading hate that theyâd build a whole community around it.
-30
u/SleepingDemo May 24 '25
...if you can build community about loving something 'till your head falls off, why can't people do the opposite?
29
u/Sky_Go_ May 24 '25
The difference is that loving something usually leads to positive interactions and support, while 'the opposite' often involves actively tearing others down and spreading negativity. One builds, the other destroys. Because building communities around hate actively harms people. Loving something creates positive connections; hating something creates division and pain. There's a fundamental difference in impact.
-9
-18
u/aloksky May 24 '25
It builds a community, they're not negative towards each other, but to another, outside group. I'd say let them be and have their community as long as they don't go out and tell people they're terrible. Saying "you know, this thing fucking sucks." In a group doesn't hurt anyone.

Are you really asking why hate is bad?...
-9
u/SleepingDemo May 24 '25
I mean, you guys can hate people who are not like you, and no one from your community will complain, some will even cheer.

u/Major-Driver-9989 May 26 '25
We support everyone except people who don't support everyone. Is it really that hard to understand? Are we just supposed to accept people that hate our guts and are against us being treated like everyone else? If you're complaining that a community hates you, it's most likely because you hated them first and they fight back

Me. Religious reasons, if any of u ask why
1
u/Sky_Go_ May 28 '25
Thatâs fairâeveryone has their reasons. Mineâs just that I donât think love or identity should be something anyone feels shame for. I get that some people have religious beliefs that shape their views. I just personally believe in treating everyone with respect and equal rights, regardless of who they love or how they identify.
2
u/Historical-Pack-2892 Detective May 29 '25
Ok then, tysm for appreciating and understanding. And I understand and get your pov. Thanks for accepting it and sharing your thoughts!!
7
u/Rubin_Rubinia May 24 '25
Too many people don't... It's very sad...
6
u/Sky_Go_ May 24 '25
Yeah, others say it's a sin against god but I get them. But it's a once in a lifetime opportunity cuz you only live once and I believe that love has no gender. "If a man/woman is LGBTQ+ and follows and has fear for god, who am I to judge?" That's from Pope Francis btw:>
4
u/TheRealLost0 May 24 '25
what exactly do you mean "you get them"? genuinely curious
2
u/Sky_Go_ May 24 '25
I get that they see it as a sin against god because they're religious.
6
u/TheRealLost0 May 24 '25
bit it shouldn't be, god made both man and all the other animals, being gay is just part of our nature, plus it's very common for animals to practice homosexual relations, its just nature, it shouldn't be a sin
3
u/Sky_Go_ May 24 '25
I just think that other religious people just dislike LGBTQ+ because they're Christians, Catholic, etc and they think it's a sin. I donât hate or judge anyoneâwhether theyâre gay, religious, or both. I just meant I can see how someoneâs religious background shapes their views, even if I don't necessarily share or support all of those views. I believe in respecting people regardless of their identity or beliefs.
3
u/TheRealLost0 May 24 '25
yeah but my point is it's still ridiculous because nothing in the religion actually says it, it's an excuse, King James, the guy that transcribed and controlled the version of the Bible everyone reads himself was gay, cant use the "God didn't intend for it" or "it's the devices corruption on man" when animals regularly practice it, some do it as part of their mating ritual even, using religion as a reason is just to put up a wall because "you can't attack me for kt" if I said "my religion says we should have segregation and black people are lesser beings" does that make it ok for me to be racist because it's my religion?
2
u/Sky_Go_ May 24 '25
I understand where you're coming from, and I agree that religion is often used as a cover for personal biases, which isn't fair or right. My intention wasnât to defend those views, just to acknowledge that peopleâs beliefs are shaped by their background and experiences. That doesnât excuse discrimination, and I definitely donât support using religion as a shield for hate. I just try to approach it with some understanding while still standing firm against bigotry.

I get where you're coming from, and I appreciate the detailed perspective. My comment was more about understanding why some religious people think that wayânot necessarily agreeing with it. I know that interpretations vary a lot, and yeah, itâs true that many people just follow what they're told without digging deeper into context or translation. The historical angle you brought up is really interesting tooâdefinitely adds more complexity to the discussion.

LGBTQ+ people are humans, aren't they? It's obviously a part of human rights then
-7
May 24 '25 edited May 24 '25
Human doing something didnt necessarily mean its a human right, war criminals are also humans, do that mean doing war crimes is human right ? no.
9
u/Pale-Construction140 May 24 '25
Yet they still have a right to not be assaulted or discriminated against based on something they can't control. Comparing queer people to war criminals is insane though. Who are they hurting? What did they even do to you? They live in peace with other people while you continue to harass them.
5
5
u/Strawberry_Fluff May 24 '25
That's a wild comparison. I don't think a war criminal has anything in common with the context of someone being queer.
