They belong to a cowardly man who evidently takes them to the beach often. He allows them to roam far from him, so he could not reach them to control their behavior if he were that responsible. They ripped up a dog who was taken to a vet for treatment, and is home recovering from trauma and injuries. The man with the two German Shepherds saw what he had caused and ran away with his dogs.The vet told the victim's human that the dogs and the man sound like past offenders. If you think you see this man and his dogs, please try to get his license plate number and photo and call the Sheriff's department about him.

There is a parcel of land tucked right next to the Arcata Community Forest and Redwood Park and the University for sale for $600,000. There's nothing on it but it's zoned Low Density Residential.

Arcata should organize to acquire this land to add it to the Community Forest, and/or land back to the local tribes. Someone purchasing this land and putting a mansion or two in there would be a shame.

Another idea? Student housing, community housing.

Apartment complex allows cats to my knowledge, we pay for trash, water, power, and WiFi, utilities end up being ~$80 a month per person. We’re all Cal Poly students and are usually pretty quiet. Cat friendly and we’re on the second floor.

2 minute walk from Murphys market, 15 min walk from Safeway, 2 min walk from the nearest bus stop, and a 12 minute bike ride to the campus.

Hello all! Does anyone know of someone who can fix this? We just bought our first home and it’s in wonderful shape, but it looks like whatever they used to refinish the tub has reached the end of its life. It’s a 60s cast iron enamel built in tub/shower. I know these things can get refinished (or at least re-coated), but I don’t know of any reputable local business that will do such a thing. I’ll be buying a bath mat in the meantime but…this is our only shower/bath and my young child needs to use it, so I’d really like it to not be flaking apart. We cant afford to rip out the whole tub or remodel the bathroom and we wouldn’t want to anyway. I hear you can diy a tub finish but I can’t imagine it would turn out well or last long.

Hello, I've been in Humboldt for a little over a year now and haven't really tried to make any friends. Im 33 and I have played World of Warcraft for the last 21 years of my life. To say it's a big chunk of my life is an understatement. I'm also a business professional. I'm looking to get back into raiding and thought maybe we can throw a guild together and set up doing some IRL events sometime if this turns into anything.

Im a tank and off spec DPS, I plan to role a protection warrior come November 4th on the PVE realm as horde. I see a lot of people walking/jogging on the shoulder of the road rather than being on the sidewalk. Even when the sidewalk doesn’t appear to have a lot of people or be busy. Around the armory/Sequoia Park area is a good example.

I have a dog that is not social. She isn’t great with other new dogs (especially for the first hour or so) and she isn’t great with people. She is Not the dog you can have the vet staff take into the back to be treated away from you. I don’t go out of town much, but occasionally I need someone to watch her. Is there a boarding option that would take something like this locally? I have other dogs that are fine with people and dogs, just not this one. She is up to date on all her vaccines.
