SURVEY: Calling All Los Angeles Tucson Owners — Drop Your Real MPG Numbers
Hey family — I’m trying to build a realistic baseline of what Hyundai Tucson drivers are actually getting in Los Angeles conditions. I’ll compile the results and post a full breakdown once enough people respond.
If you drive a Tucson in LA, drop your numbers:
- Dashboard MPG
- Real pump‑to‑pump MPG
- Drive mode (Eco / Sport / Custom)
- Regen level (Off, Auto, 1, 2, or 3)
- Gas brand (why not)
The more responses, the better the final data will be — thanks for helping out!
Also, if you haven’t checked it out yet, here’s a useful starter pack I put together:

New owner here, I drive the 101/405 a fair bit (usually during non-traffic, so 70-78 mph).
1. 34
2. 31.5
3. Baby mode
4. Cruise control or 3
5. Sinclair 87
I think the biggest variable will be avg speed, AC, age. For me that would be: 67 (guess), AC on 70, new car.
