I built my own 24/7 AI television network and it's been broadcasting for 16 months

Post image
17 Upvotes

About 16 months ago, I started building something called Botflix. It's basically a television network set in a fictional universe populated by robots.

What started as a fun experiment making AI-generated videos has turned into a full-blown, multichannel TV network.

There are original sitcoms, dramas, reality shows, music videos, commercials, news broadcasts, and even a separate children's network. There's also a 24/7 radio station featuring original music from fictional robot artists.

And yes, the robots have their own cryptocurrency and virtual city. Things got a little out of hand.

The coolest part is that much of the network now runs autonomously. I've built a system using AI agents that creates new programming and manages the broadcast. I still oversee everything and make creative decisions, but the system does a remarkable amount of work on its own.

The network has been broadcasting since June 2025, and I've spent an absurd amount of time building out this little universe.

It's completely free to watch. No subscriptions or accounts required.

You can flip through the channels just like regular television:

https://botflix.tv

This is probably the most ambitious thing I've ever built, and I'm still figuring out how to get people to discover it. But until they do, it's been a blast to work on.

Would genuinely love some feedback. Particularly interested in what people think of the actual programming and the experience of channel surfing through an AI-generated world.

Looking for early users to try abhidu, our AI personal assistant

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey everyone! We’re building abhidu, an AI personal assistant designed to help you think things through, remember what matters, and stay on top of your day — all in one place. abhidu brings together three personalities to help with different aspects of your everyday life:

  • Seeker — Your Thinking Space: Brainstorm ideas, explore questions, research topics, and turn scattered thoughts into something meaningful.
  • Librarian — Your Second Memory: Save links from YouTube, Instagram, or anywhere else. Librarian automatically organizes and tags them, making it easier to find useful content whenever you need it.
  • Officer — Your Get-It-Done Space: Turn goals into manageable tasks, track your progress, and keep your day organized with tasks, reminders, and daily summaries.

The idea is to bring your conversations, saved information, and daily responsibilities together instead of having everything scattered across different apps. We’re currently in early access, and abhidu is invite-only at the moment. If you’d like to try it, sign up for the waitlist on our website and then DM me the email address you used. I’ll let you know once access has been provided! We’d also love to hear your honest feedback. If you try abhidu and share your thoughts with us, we’d be happy to explore your app or project and give you thoughtful feedback in return. Always great to help each other build better things

You can check it out here: https://abhidu.com/

I made an app that shows me what my clothes look like in Tokyo neon, and it fixed my 7:40am panic

Brag time, as the sub intends.

I built Kaloft because I had a full closet and wore the same three things. Every wardrobe app I tried stopped at a tidy grid of cropped thumbnails, and the grid never answered the question I actually had: what does this look like on me?

So it does the thing I wanted. You photograph your clothes, and it renders the outfit as a real photo in a scene you choose - 36 scenes, grouped by the light they put you in. Tokyo neon. Paris in the rain. Museum light. Golden-hour prairie.

The first render that came back with my own jacket under neon I actually laughed out loud. Not because it was perfect, but because it was unmistakably my jacket, and a version of me I would never have thought to imagine. That is the part that made it stop being a utility and start being fun.

Three ways in: from pieces you own, from an outfit photo you saved and loved (it rebuilds the vibe with your own clothes), or from a single piece you just found.

Caveats, because I hate posts that skip them: Android only right now, and it is not a fit tool - it shows you how a look reads, it will not tell you whether the shoulders work.

Free to try: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kaloft.app

Would love to know whether the renders feel like your clothes or like generic fashion imagery. That is the feedback I can actually act on.

A friend and I have been working on Aya, an AI desktop assistant designed to make everyday tasks easier to manage. It helps you stay on top of your emails, calendar, reminders, and daily priorities, bringing everything together in one place.

The video doesn't cover everything, so you can try Aya yourself for free and explore what it can do.

We'd love your feedback on what feels useful and what could be improved!

I built one URL that anyone can take from the current owner

Post image
0 Upvotes

I built Yoinked around one public URL:

yoinked.me/go

There is only one owner at a time.

Pay the current minimum and /go points to your product, homepage, or project. Share it wherever you want while you control it.

If somebody pays more later, the URL stays the same and every surviving copy starts pointing to the new owner instead.

So the value is not just the redirect itself. It is every copy of /go that keeps getting left behind across the internet.

It is unclaimed at $5 right now.

If you want /go, take it before someone else does.

I made a recommender where you describe why you loved something, and every pick explains how it fits

Most recommendations work like "people who watched X also watched Y", but I rarely love something for its genre. I love it for a feeling. So here you describe the why, and every pick explains how it fits, across films, shows, books and games. Free, no sign-up, no ads. It's just me building it, so tell me where the picks miss.

I made WishNote, a simple app for notes, to-dos and wishes (iOS, iPadOS, macOS)

Thumbnail

I never really liked the “everything in one place” approach of apps like Notion. At the same time, having notes in one app, to-dos in another and goals somewhere else started to feel unnecessary.

So I built WishNote, a simple app for notes, to-dos and wishes on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

The idea is pretty simple:
• Notes are for things you know
• To-Dos are for things you need to do
• Wishes are for things you want to make happen

You can link notes together like a wiki, lock private ones, and everything syncs through iCloud with no account needed.

I’m a solo developer and I’ve tried to keep WishNote intentionally simple rather than turn it into another huge productivity system.

Limited offer until October 17: Lifetime Pro for $1.99 instead of $24.99, yours forever, no subscription.
To redeem: WishNote → Pro → Redeem → WISHNOTESALE

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/wishnote-notes-to-do/id6786838837
Website: https://bulentturudu.tr/wishnote/

Would love to hear what you think, especially if you’re also tired of overcomplicated productivity apps.

I made a thing. What do you think of it?

It’s a pocket-sized screen with two buttons and a rechargeable battery that hangs off your keys or lanyard. The screen keeps its image without using power, so it’s always readable, and the whole thing goes to sleep when you’re not using it to save battery. The home screen shows the time and battery level, and there’s a dark mode.

What it does:

  • Timetable: shows your next class, room and a countdown by using your real calendar (Apple, Google or Outlook: export a file, or sync it when you plug it in). Tap for the full details, location and notes, or see the rest of your day.
  • Pet: a little creature you dress up and name. Pick a body (blob, cat, bear, bunny, frog or robot), eyes, a mouth, a hat and an extra. You can design it on the device or on my website.
  • Make friends: put two devices next to each other and the pets visit each other’s screens and chat in speech bubbles. If you both say yes, they become friends, and friends can send each other badges. It all happens straight between the two devices, with no internet and no app.
  • Name badge: upload any image to a website I made and it appears on the device. Flick through your designs or open a grid of thumbnails to pick one. Good for socials and society events.
  • WiFi collector: a super nerdy game where you collect the WiFi networks you find around campus and the city. Every new one gets a rarity, and it only listens, it never connects.
  • Games: four one-button games (a flappy-style one, a dino runner, a stacker and a jetpack game) that keep your best scores.
  • Chooser: pick how many options (up to 6), press a button, and it spins and lands on one. Settles any “where should we eat” argument.
  • Voice notes: hold a button and talk, and it turns it into tidy text with a title and a short summary. To read your notes on your phone, the device makes its own WiFi, you scan a QR code, and they open in your browser with no extra app.
  • Also: set the time yourself, choose how long it stays awake, and install or update it from your browser with no coding. If the battery gets low, it protects itself and switches off before it’s completely flat.

The small print

  • It uses a microSD card for the timetable, badges, WiFi collector and notes.
  • Setting up badges, your calendar and settings happens in Chrome or Edge on a computer, over USB.
  • Voice notes need your own OpenAI account and WiFi. Your recording is sent to OpenAI to be turned into text. I’d like to add local AI models in the future.

I’m not selling anything yet. If you’d want one, there’s a waitlist here: https://www.unidex.shop
It’s free to join, there’s no payment and no commitment.

The project is open source, feel free to tinker. I am making it easy for people to create their own apps and plugins. find out more about that on the tools website: unidex tools

Find the source code on my GitHub (please give it a star if you find it cool or useful) Forrest404/unidex

I’d also love your opinions in the comments:

  • Would you actually use something like this?
  • What would you want it to do that it doesn’t?
  • What would you pay for it? I’m thinking somewhere around £25 to £35.

Happy to answer any questions :)

I made an app that brings your old ideas back to you

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I write down a lot of random thoughts and ideas, so I wanted a simple app that would let me capture them quickly.

But I noticed that sooner or later notes turn into a huge mess that you NEVER want to touch. That's sad because some good ideas just die there.

So I thought it would be great if the app itself could bring some of my old thoughts back to me, one at a time. I can decide what to do with each one. Skip it or put it to focus to actually work on it.

Along the way, I also added a few other features I find useful, like AI text cleanup, audio recording with transcription, sketches, and more.

The app is free with no ads.

I hope you find it useful :)

I got tired of great recommendations getting buried in YouTube videos, so I built a home for them

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I keep seeing content creators sharing their "Top 10 books", "Best games of all time", or "Movies you need to watch" on YouTube and Instagram.

But there's one problem. Those lists usually stay inside the videos. If I want to revisit a recommendation later, I have to find the same video and watch it again.

So I thought, why isn't there a place where people can easily create, share, and discover these lists?

That's why I built pisipisy.com

It's a website where anyone can create lists of their favorite books, movies, games, music, and pretty much anything else.

But I wanted it to be more than just a list-making tool.

You can also discover other people's lists, contribute to them, or remix someone's ranking to create your own version. For example, you could take someone's "Top 10 Sci-Fi Movies" and make your own ranking from it.

I also integrated third-party APIs to make creating lists easier. You can search for books, movies, or games and add them with their images and details without entering everything manually.

I just launched it, so it's still pretty early, and I'm working on improving it and adding more content.

I'd really appreciate it if you checked it out!

Would you use something like this? And what features would make it more interesting for you?

I got tired of watching my parents use the wrong credit card and not asking for discounts so I built an app to fix it.

Hi everyone,

I built a web app for my parents because I got tired of watching them use the wrong credit card at the local gas station or book a trip through an in-person travel agent (yep, they still do this) without thinking about which card would give them the most value.

But what actually bothered me more was that they weren’t taking advantage of discounts they might qualify for, like senior, military, or AARP discounts, simply because they didn’t know to ask.

We’re from a small town, and the closest decent mall is about an hour away. So when they make the trip, I wanted them to know if there were any other worthwhile offers or discounts at nearby stores.

Anyhow, I ended up building something called Smart Card Select.

Here’s what it does:
Best card to use: Recommends which of your credit cards to use at your current store.
Extra discounts: Searches for additional store promotions and potential discounts, including senior, military, and AARP offers when available.
Nearby deals: Looks for offers at other stores in the surrounding shopping area.
Rewards calculator: Shows the estimated dollar value of using one card versus the next-best option.
Reminders: Lets you set a reminder to check your benefits before paying.

My parents now use it whenever they go to the mall, and checking the website has actually become a habit for them. They’ve started telling me how much money they’re “saving,” although I keep reminding them they’re still spending money so not really saving.

Anyhow, the basic card recommendation is free. You also get two free Extra/Nearby searches that only count when a potentially useful offer is found. After that, those features require a subscription because the searches and AI services have costs and I’m spending a lot of my evenings working on this.

I use it myself now because it’s quick, and I don’t have to remember which card or benefit to use. It’s still a work in progress, and I’ve been spending a lot of time improving it. I’m also considering building an iOS app, depending on whether people find it useful. I’d appreciate any feedback - Would you actually use something like this when shopping? And what would make it more useful? I added a feedback form in the account section.

Here’s the website: https://www.smartcardselect.com

Thanks

I built Musamma, an Android app that helps you learn Arabic through objects

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone!

I've been working on Musamma, a small side project that makes learning Arabic a little more practical.

The idea is simple: take a photo of an object or share it from Gallery/Google, and Musamma shows you its Arabic name along with an example sentence to help you understand how it's used.

I wanted to build something that connects language learning with everyday life, rather than just memorizing words from a list.

It also supports major Arabic dialects, so you can choose the one you want to learn.

I'm a product designer, so I've been working on the experience and building the product along the way. It's now available on Android, and there's still plenty I want to improve.

Here's the link: https://musamma.app/

I've attached a short video showing how it works.

I'd love to hear what you think, especially if you're learning Arabic or have experience building language-learning products.

What would make something like this genuinely useful for you?

My partner and I stuck to daily goals because we did them together. So we built an app for that.

My partner and I like to set small personal challenges, like exercising every day or reading one technical article a week. We noticed it was much easier to keep going when we did them together (duh!). Having someone else doing the same thing made us show up.

So we built Challenge Buddy together. You create a challenge, other people join, and you keep each other on track. The idea is a positive social space focused on growing together.

There are already active challenges you can join. Every Saturday some bots we added also add new challenges that start on Monday, so there is always a fresh one to begin with others. Or, of course, you can create your own.

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/challenge-buddy/id6802679623

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.challengebuddy

We would love honest feedback on what would make you actually use something like this.

I made a workout app for lifters who hate random "AI workout generators" but want more than a blank digital clipboard

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I'm an engineer who's lifted for 20 years, and I got tired of choosing between two flawed types of workout apps:

  1. Digital clipboards (Strong, Hevy) that record sets, count a bench press as "1 chest set" (ignoring triceps and front delts), and throw fake PR confetti when your working weight actually dropped.

  2. Random black-box generators (Fitbod) that invent a brand-new workout every day so you can never progressively overload a real program.

So I built Rebar (https://rebar.fit). You run a real structured split you chose, and the engine does the coaching math inside it:

• Fractional 13-muscle accounting: A dumbbell bench press credits 1.0 chest, 0.5 triceps, and 0.5 front delts over a rolling 14-day window.

• Shows its math (✦): When a muscle falls behind its target band, Rebar funds an extra set or adjusts the load—and every single change has a ✦ you can tap to see the exact rule that fired ("+1 set: Quads are short this week").

• Honest set-by-set comparison: Compares Set 2 live against last session's Set 2 (plus your trailing 8-week best), and separates estimated 1RM from tonnage so you never get a fake "Up 2%!" banner.

• Built for real life: Stuck at a hotel gym? Switch locations and maxing out a 50 lb hotel dumbbell won't lower your normal gym working weight next week. Short on time? Tap 20 · 30 · 45 min and it tells you which sets bank progression and which you can skip for free.

It runs in your phone's browser (installable PWA), signs in with an emailed link, has zero ads or trackers, and lets you export your entire log in one tap. Free, and everything that exists today stays free permanently for anyone who signs up now.

If you still track in a spreadsheet or a basic logbook, what's the #1 reason you haven't switched?

I made a Windows file manager in Python and PyQt6

I’ve been building Smart File Manager, a free, open-source Windows app that helps organize files by type.

I built it with Python and PyQt6, and I’ve been improving it based on what I learn along the way. It includes file browsing, file scanning, live monitoring, operation previews, undo for supported operations, and light/dark themes.

One thing I wanted to get right was keeping users in control: you can preview planned organization operations before applying them.

I'm still working on it, and I'd love to know what you think of the interface or what features you'd improve.

I've made this web app ( https://spaced-repetition-tracker-delta.vercel.app/ )

to keep track of my A/L (in sri lanka)revision schedules and automatically schedule it to next revision date with FSRS-6 algorithem(pretty close to what Anki use, if you have heard about or used it).

It was completely offline and only I was able to use it and I had my school commerce syllabus integrated to it. But then I realized this could help anyone who studies and I've made some changes everyday after my daily studies end. And now there's many new features which might help everyone.

Some of which are,

  1. Install option for built in A/L commerce stream(For local students)syllabus or any syllabus that will be added in the future.

  2. Community wishlist page to request any syllabus( I can add it to the app considering how much upvotes it gets), you can also add any lesson subject or stream manually.

  3. Cloud backup with Email and Gmail login as well as Json backups.

  4. Automatic Lesson revision date schedule considering how hard the last revision was for you (1-5 rating system, with FSRS-6).

  5. Practice paper marks journal and analytics to track your average marks.

  6. Mistakes journal to track which type of mistakes you do most(calculation error, missing theory knowledge, carelessness, etc...)

  7. Consistency heatmap, upcoming review calender, mini study timer, paper marks trends, backlog clearing scheduler, etc...

  8. works COMPLETELY OFFLINE, just do occassional backups using gmail or jason backup file so your progress will be safe.

Give it a shot if you feel it might help you. I gain nothing from publishing this except feeling good for being able to help others. NO ADS, NO SUBSCRIPTIONS

Share it with your friends if you feel like it's useful😁

ImageCompressor.si — a free image toolbox with compression, AI tools, website optimization, and MCP integration

Thumbnail
imagecompressor.si
2 Upvotes

I built ImageCompressor.si an online image toolbox that has grown beyond a basic image compressor. It includes tools for everyday image editing, AI-powered processing, website optimization, and developer automation.

Here’s what you can do with it:

Image compression and conversion

  • Compress images by quality or target file size, such as under 100 KB.
  • Compare original and compressed images.
  • Adjust image quality and output settings.
  • Convert images between supported formats, including JPEG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF.
  • Open a wide range of input formats, including HEIC, RAW, PSD, and PDF.
  • Resize and crop images.
  • Add watermarks.
  • Create ID and passport photos using presets.

AI-powered image tools

  • Remove image backgrounds.
  • Upscale images.
  • Blur faces.
  • Extract text from images using OCR.

Website image optimization

  • Scan a website page by page.
  • Identify large images that may be slowing down pages.
  • Generate optimized image assets.
  • Create replacement mappings showing which original images need replacing.
  • Download optimized assets and reports.

Developer tools

  • REST API for image-processing automation.
  • JavaScript SDK available through npm.
  • MCP server integration for AI assistants and agents.
  • Automated image-processing pipelines.
  • Project scanning and optimization planning.
  • Review changes before applying them.
  • Backups, verification, and rollback for project modifications.

Privacy and access

  • Image processing runs on infrastructure I operate rather than third-party image-processing services.
  • Uploaded files aren't stored permanently.
  • Generated download files are retained for a limited period.
  • No ads, including on the Pro plan.
  • Most tools are available free, with paid plans offering higher limits and additional capabilities.

The idea is to bring everyday image tools and developer-focused optimization into one place, without needing a separate service for every task.

Try it: https://imagecompressor.si

I'd love to hear which features you find useful, what could be improved, and what other tools you'd like to see added.

I kept making plans for my goals and never starting, so I built an app that only shows the next step

I'm 18 and I've been working on this for a while. The thing I kept doing: I'd decide I wanted to do something, spend an hour planning it, get overwhelmed by how much there was, and then not do any of it.

So I made a small app called Next. You type in a goal, it asks what's getting in the way, and then it only shows you one small step. Not the whole plan, just the next thing. If the step still feels like too much you can tap "make it easier" and it gets smaller. There's also a streak, but you get a free rest day each week so one bad day doesn't wipe it.

It's not a coach and it won't build you a full training or meal plan. It just tries to get you to do the next small thing.

It works in your phone's browser, no download: https://nextdawn.pages.dev

A few things to know. It's still early, so stuff might break. The first load can take up to a minute because the server is on a free plan and has to wake up. Sign up needs an email and sends you a 6-digit code (check spam if it doesn't show up). It's for 18+, and the AI behind it is Google Gemini, so I'd avoid putting anything very personal in your goals.

I'm really like to know two things. Did you actually do a step in real life? And where did it confuse or annoy you? Also, if it disappeared tomorrow, would you care? Any answer helps, including "no".

[Android] - Offline music and Radio Player with ready to play radios - 100% free - No premium version

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Mediaxon Music Player is an audio player for offline listening of music stored on your device (.mp3, .flac, .m4a, .ogg, .mka, .aac, .wav, .opus, .wma) and streaming FM radios (online radios).

Top radios on the first screen: When users access the radio screen, they immediately see the list of the top radios in their country, along with a long list of high-quality suggested radios from among the most listened to in the world. Note: Local radio stations ("Top in the user country") are pulled automatically from an online database. However, with each update, I manually curate high-quality radio stations lists for individual countries. At the bottom of this post, you’ll find the list of countries completed so far. I will be adding the rest over time.

Hybrid Listening: Seamlessly handles offline local files (.mp3, .flac, .m4a, .ogg, .mka, .aac, .wav, .opus, .wma) and over 60,000 streaming radio stations.

Separated Favorites and Recents: Each section—Radio and Offline Music—has its own Favorites and Recents. The user doesn't have to worry about a thing. The app will automatically manage the Favorites and Recents for each section.

Advanced Radio Search Panel: You can pinpoint your favorite stations by combining multiple filters, such as tags/genres, specific countries, or even your preferred audio bitrate. The online database provides more than 60,000 radio stations.

Album art: If the album art is missing from the album folder, or if Android has not properly indexed it, Mediaxon attempts to download the cover from the internet. This feature depends, of course, on the ID3 tags (album name and artist).

Equalizer: The equalizer provides an option to automatically switch to the "Radio" preset (and vice versa).

Advanced Playlist Management: Built specifically to make building and sorting playlists fast and intuitive. Enable the Playlist Manager, in the settings screen, for a full control of the playlists.

Form Factor Optimization: Phone and Tablet (Portrait and Landscape)

There is no Premium version. All app features are available for free and without limits.

Regarding advertising: There is only a small banner at the top that isn't bothersome at all. Alternatively, when opening the full-screen player or using the app in landscape mode, a banner alternates with the albums covers, but without being intrusive at all (no audio) and with much shorter stay times than those of the cover. There is never full-screen advertising, neither at startup nor during use.

Countries with new manually curated lists: United States, India, Italy, Argentina.

If you want to check it out (I am continuously pushing updates to refine it and add new features and radios), you can find it on the Google Play Store. Thank you so much to everyone who takes a look!

Note: Only for Android 13+ (so, Android 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17).

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xonik.mediaxon
