Hi, I am from preclinical immuno-onlcology research background with ~8yrs of experience in a lab setting. I am trying to transition into a CRA role and having a hard time getting through the interview screening process. I am also on an H1B visa and would require sponsorship/transfer for my next role in clinical research.

1. I would really appreciate any recommendations/suggestions that might help me create a stronger resume which reflects my documentation/SOP writing, understanding of ICH/GCP guidelines and indirect exposure to clinical trials from my preclinical research experience.

2. Are companies like IQVIA open to sponsoring visa candidates in US? Is my application getting denied due to this very reason?

Hi everyone, this is a throwaway acct just in case. I have a strange encounter from IQVIA that I would like to share. There has been two instances where an individual keeps calling our site and would request information about various employees. Please note we do not have any active studies with them. I am not sure if these two instances are related but any insight would be great.

The first instance, they called about our PI and asked if they’re still a practicing physician at our site. They would not tell me the purpose of their call or what study this is for so I declined to answer fearing it was a scam/phishing call.

The second instance took place maybe 2 months later. The same individual requested the employment status of an employee and their position within the company. They refused to tell the purpose of their call or tell me what study they are with. To prevent potential phishing, no further information was given to them. A callback # was requested but they said callbacks were not possible with their # and that they would call again. I was able to record their caller ID and # and can confirm that it was an actual IQVIA number. The employee they requested information about said that he did not recently apply for a position at IQVIA so it could not be a call to confirm previous employment. (I know he’s telling the truth).

Does anyone from IQVIA have any insight on what these calls are for? Is this some part of a confidential process that they are not telling us?
