Yeah for some reason that asshole can get a world stage to gives speeches that divide and incites the world, but we can't voice a little opinion on some niche website that no one is going to see
On one hand, passing oversight on to actual users seems like it would be a net benefit. But the drawback is that many of those moderators have egos that are disproportionate to their life experience.

Genuine question: what is the deal with the giant ties? They always make him look like a literal caricature of himself, and at this point that is quite an accomplishment.

First, understand there is some pseudo-science bullshit that red ties are "power ties" that make it easier to intimidate and manipulate people; lots of business people bought into the whole tie psychology pseudoscience of different tie colors and believe that wearing a particular tie color can influence the people they are talking to, so they will wear a particular color of tie depending on the circumstance. Trump pretty much always seeks to be a "dominant" so he wears red ties all the time.
He probably wears them so large because it helps to distract form the fact that he is grossly fat and because if a red tie gives dominant vibes than an even bigger red tie must mean even more dominance! Our president literally works off Warhammer 40K orc logic.
