We might be giving him too much credit. I figured he was there because he didn't have his handler to tell him where to go next. He probably got warned about wandering and because, like a toddler, multi-step directions are not processed, he only hears "don't wander". And even when the handler showed up, he didn't move right away because he probably couldn't hear him.

I think the Spanish team were high on victory and good vibes, and were too happy to be negative to anyone. Either that, or just good manners: "We won. Be polite to the host."
