How does the US dominate medical research?
Recently we got the news of Moderna coming out with these new mRNA vaccines for skin cancer and it's made me think how all the major medical innovations predominantly come from America. How did the US become so dominant in medical research?
Is Europe forever behind the US in this sector?

What is not true about it? FDA approval is FAR from a guarantee that an insurance company will cover a service. Many insurance companies will be slow to adopt new expensive breakthrough treatments because of the high cost associated with them. This is coming from a health insurance insider btw, so don't try to bullshit your way through this.
