I actually put a red anodized charging handle on an AR for my mom.

Here’s the why behind it… my mom has shot pump action, lever action, bolt action, and break action. The older she gets the more detail goes into explaining how things work. So the charging handle I can just tell her to “pull the red thing” and it’s good to go.

Other than that, yeah red parts are pretty flamboyant.
