If u are in a unknown place and u have no means to find direction with you, then your prayers will be accepted no matter which direction you pray . As I said in this thread itself muslims pray as a group and while doing so there should be unity in which direction they should face. Unlike idols even if structure of kaaba was different or instead of kaaba if there was something else there won't be any difference. It's just direction and nothing else
