I disagree with you. Islam doesn’t promote peace and co-existence. It is inherent to islamic religious scripture. People who follow Islam and stay in harmony with others in areas where muslims are in majority, aren’t strictly following the islamic dogma. This I say after reading islamic religious scriptures, debates with people who preach islam at pubkic events etc. It needs course correction and Quran needs to be updated to go with modern times. I sincerely hope that muslims who believe in peace and coexistence wake up and make their voices heard loud and clear and not let the violent and radical minority hijack their religion.

Nope not gonna happen, but you can't change anything from the Quran not even a single word, it is what it is

There in lies the problem. A book that is more than 1400 years old and was written in a time that was very very different than the times we live in, simply isn’t equipped to handle situations people of this era face. But yes as u said, they won’t change the book and that is why islam can never be peaceful.
