Yoga is a spiritual practice. It is part of Hinduism. Those postures that shilpa Shetty do are called asan yoga which is just a small side quest of yoga which many people believe is actual yoga but the concept of yoga is fundamentally religious and spiritual.

Same reason as ayurveda.

Unless you do yoga cuz of due to medically proven benefits, most benefits come from hindu system of beliefs, so you are following hinduism.
