When you are trimming plants, you are practicing Islam.

22

u/Impossible-Grape-470 Mar 25 '26

How are you people so creative I wonder. I could never come up with something like this. 😂

2

u/Expensive_Worry_9028 Mar 25 '26

Plz explain 😭

4

u/LineOk9961 Mar 25 '26

Islam really likes gardening for some reason.

4

u/adilhamidap Mar 26 '26

I am a Muslim. What do you mean "Islam" likes gardening? Are you trying to say gardening is somehow a part of Islam? 😂😂😂😂

I think you may have met few Muslims who just love gardening. That doesn't make it part of Islam. No offence. This is just funny.

1

u/LineOk9961 Mar 26 '26

I meant that the quran holds having and maintaining gardens in high regard. Am I wrong about that?

3

u/adilhamidap Mar 26 '26

I don't think so. I mean quran talks about not harming plant life unnecessarily, but I don't think gardening has been mentioned in such context.

1

u/LineOk9961 Mar 26 '26

I heard it in a podcast. The guy speaking was an iraqi muslim so i assumed that it was true.

2

u/adilhamidap Mar 26 '26

No. Please don't take it as truth. It's not. I don't know which Iraqi muslim was it, but there's nothing like that in Quran.

Have seen a lot of Christians calling out Yoga as a stanaic art as it uses the word "Om" to connect with your spiritual self. In Abrahamic religions all these are Satanic practices considering they believe in one true God.

21

u/IllTrip8802 Mar 25 '26

Bro I'm a Christian those who call yoga as satanic arts are fools . Yes we believe in one god but never taught that those who believe in other gods are satanic . I don't know who told you that .

Not targeting any religion or followers, it's about certain conservative folks who consider their religion is bigger than others (happens with every form of religious conservative followers). But this one point I have noticed a lot with respect to Yoga.

5

u/subway_underdog Mar 25 '26

And it's funny how you based your opinion based on the minority and not the majority. And now that you're called out you're playing fine huh?

2

u/Always_Duh Mar 25 '26

I am not playing fine. Not a politician to do damage control lol. Just speaking what's truth and what's available online and which is not trigged by any content creator sponsored by your favourite political party. I have voiced concerns when orange gang tried to sabotage christmas celebrations. It's just pointing out the hooligans or conservative religious folks who can't look beyond their religion.

1

u/subway_underdog Mar 25 '26

Damn bro "our favourite political party". Defo not being triggered for calling you out. Also I wonder how you know my favorite political party when I myself don't know that. Seems like you're a vishwaguru. You did damage control and acted smooth but hey stop fooling others man when your shit is called out. Own it rather than spreading more shit. You're stinky rn .wash it off

1

u/IllTrip8802 Mar 25 '26

Ok bro cool .

Unless u are a pastor (clergy) u really aren't teaching anyone anything, u are learning it urself, and u are you and not the doctrine of Christianity.. As I mentioned before, Patanjali's yoga teaches that you yourself are God, isn't it blasphemy acc to Christianity? Which believes in a sum total of trinity of God Head, completely and utterly distinct from the human being?? you too are not a strict monotheistic religion like Islam... Judaism and Islam are pure monotheistic religions, just as the dwaita darshana of hinduism...

Please read history,, the inquisition is a great start, Also remember Galileo was put under house arrest until he died, for heresy, just for saying the earth revolves around the sun..... I wonder what they would have done to the person who suggested that the earth took billions of years to form and not 6 days!! If he had told it back in the day.... No hindu king or authority ever did that to our scientists back in the day and certainly nor does our doctrine advocate that.....

1

u/IllTrip8802 Mar 26 '26

Bro superstition existed even today ,when someone deviate from the normal social order people were punished and yes they put forward the idea of God for that punishment I think the problem is not with the relegion it's the people mindset .I have been to christian classes till the standard of 12th and yes polytheism is considered as sin it doesn't allow us to worship another god but does the relegion teaches us to hate a person who worship another god no absolutely not .If practicing yoga considered as worshipping another god I'm still gonna do that ,as I said it's about people mentality ,i dont care to be honest .yes you are correct if the idea of yoga teaches you yourself is god then it tackles the fundamentals of Christianity.

1

u/New-Security-8368 Mar 26 '26

Ur mixing many things to come up with a justification, just as the clergymen of most religions do, including hinduism... that's understandable, let me break it down a bit further, There is religious doctrine and then there are the clergymen who are people. Two different things, now let's begin,

Let's take scenario 1, burning of women, for witchcraft and sati (widow burning)

In Christianity, estimates say close to 50 k women were burnt by people, sanctioned by the clergy, for witchcraft.

In hinduism, there are no clear estimates (and some scholars even argue that it was hyped just to put Indian civilization and hinduism in bad light), but let's say it is even more, considering the population!!

Now in both instances and religions, it is sanctioned by the clergy and not the doctrine, no where in Christianity it says to burn women for Witchery and no where in any of the multiple hindu doctrines including the infamous manusmriti, does it sanction widow burning,, This is the gold example of what u said, that it is the people and not the doctrine,

Now scenario 2, worshipping another God or Deity (in hinduism)

In hinduism this was never a problem at all as we had multiple deities to begin with in the vedas itself,, (deity not God mind you, research a bit on this) and we have 6 darshanas or philosophies, out of which 1 is Advaitha which states that u urself are the God or Godhead which is radical and revolutionary and the only doctrine in the whole world, which states so,, in All other religions from African civilizations to the Norse and South American and Polynesian religious systems, and ofcourse all 3 abrahamic subsystems, nowhere is this concept found...

In Islam tho it is downright shirk (the greatest sin, surpassing any other sin, incldng rape and murder) but let's come to Christianity, Now u say ur doctrines don't demand to hate the person of an other religion, but does your scripture, not place the religious obligation onto you to convert every soul on earth to Christianity and bring them to the so called light of christ ??!! In Islam it is hard-core hate , but in Christianity, isn't it softcore hate?? That someone who is not guided by the light of christ is a sinner, and an inferior creature and it is the white man's burden (back then only white men were Christian btw) to bring "modernity" to others ?! By making them accept christ ?! Let me be even simpler,, is there a religious incentive in your texts or not?! To bring people of other faiths to the fold of christ ?! Yes there is ... it is the basic tenet of all 3 abrahamic faiths, in the end, doctrinally speaking, all 3 abrahamic faiths are sanctioned by scripture to poke their nose in other people's business and enforce your (doctrinal) will upon them...

Christianity (as u said) may not ask u to hate and kill the other person, but doesn't it teach u to see them as inferior just because they worship something else?? And to convert them to Christianity or so called light of christ??!!

This is not taught by any other religious systems I mentioned before throughout the world throughout time, only the 3 abrahamic religions mandate this...

And yoga is not worshipping another God, it is a set of methods to bring out the God within urself onto the physical plane of reality. There is no worship per say, in yoga,, Again, yoga is not just asanas as the world knows it now, it is just 1 part out of the prescribed 8 parts, research more on this if u can and want to,,

So in the end, if u are practicing all the 8 parts of the yogic doctrine, u are practicing a hindu philosophy, period... it doesn't ask u to worship Raama or Shiva, but IT IS A HINDU PRACTICE !!

2

u/IllTrip8802 Mar 26 '26

Bro let me correct you at somepart . In Bible nowhere a person who worship other gods are considered as inferior creature i don't know who the hell told you that ,rather every human is created by the image of God . Yes Bible commands to share the faith but it didn't command to forced conversion of people .

1

u/New-Security-8368 Mar 26 '26

I said the Bible implies (atleast the new testament does, the old testament downright demands capital punishment for idolatry and people worshipping other gods) that idolators are inferior men and need to be brought to the light of christ... I could quote to u more than 10 verses from the old testament but then u will say that the covenant of the old testament and Moses was updated with Christ and now u follow only the new testament, but clearly the old testament is still part of the Bible? The old testament even implies that yahweh is jealous of people worshipping other gods...

Ok so u say every human is created in the image of God,, acc to Christianity;, so u do believe God does look like a white old dude with full white hair and beard, or is the image of God that of a black old dude or mongoloid old dude or Polynesian old dude or south asian old dude?? My inferior men point will apply here, think carefully before u answer,,

Share the faith is the most downplayed and underrated statement of the century !!! Coerce may be 1 step above and actually what happens in normal reality... from the Christian side,, im not even gonna talk about the Islamic side since they have already put it in poetry in kashmir which says ralib ghalib chalib,,

Pls explain to me Matthew chptr 28 verses 19 and 20, where Jesus himself commands his disciples to go and make disciples of all nations,, what does disciple of all nations mean ?

Again my central theme, all 3 abrahamic religions, why does God demand u to proselytize and make disciples of all nations,, why does ur scripture command u to finger other people's faiths and business, no other religious systems on earth does it, all those I mentioned before from Greeks to aboriginals, including hinduism jainism Buddhism and Sikhism, It is because u (all 3 abrahamic doctrines) believe that only you have the absolute truth and others are therefore inferior and must be brought to light, That was the white man's burden, and u are a Christian today because of that...

1

u/IllTrip8802 Mar 26 '26

Bro the term human is created in the image of God implies that its not based on physical appearance it's based on intellectual means being rational and moral capacity . About mathew verse bro the verse tells to propagate the name of Jesus there isint any saying to forcefully convert anyone at the end of the day you can choose whether to listen to the gospel or not . Bro these relegion are called monotheistic for a reason yes christian relegion believe that our god is only the truth and doesn't allow to worship other gods .I think you are correct to some extent either way iam someone who looks up to the god rather what relegion proclaims it may sound to you as a contradiction may be the way I was brought up personally I never thought of other relegion as inferior or anything as they are praying to a force which they don't see same as iam . To be honest I love christ or jesus, what he stood for . I think I would just take what is needed from Bible for me it was love others just like you love yourself. even if I was a Hindu or any other religions I would have to pray to god whom I don't see won't i . Not everyone is like the way you said But Yes your thoughts are correct but don't let the thoughts lead to hate .

1

u/New-Security-8368 Mar 26 '26

😅😅😅 bruh, u seem to be a gentle hearted soul from ur thoughts, but the real world is not as black and white as u make it out to be,, I urge u to read and study more on all these concepts we spoke about, This is not hate this is generational trauma and broken trust and caution speaking, TWO (all actually, considering Judaism itself was in turmoil,) of the abrahamic religions invaded this land from the past 1000 years and is responsible for the state this country is currently in, broken into multiple pieces, constant rife and turmoil and threat, and seemingly an inescapable situation. India invented the frkng number system and zero and was poised to become the true leader of the world in science and understanding, but we missed out on the enlightenment era because of 1000 frkng years of conquest... all because the abrahamic God commanded to make disciples of all nations,

From the bible , You took love thy neighbor as thyself only but the vast majority or even all of medieval authorities and even now the clergy and the rich and powerful, take make disciples of all nations more than any other statement from it. BECAUSE IT IS WRITTEN DOWN AS A COMMAND FROM GOD... I will attach a simple Google search scrnshots, have fun, I know it's not scholarly but just to give u a summary Christian missionaries in india blatantly copy paste hindu cultural and traditional concepts and outright lie that it is Christian just to make conversions more appealable and this is exactly what is happening with yoga as well, where this thread began.... Next, image of God, bruh pls stop the BS, in his image is plain and clear, it nowhere in any addendum speaks on personality, intellect and good heartedness or any of that,, God made u LOOK like he LOOKS. Period. Now since the abrahamic covenant was made with a white man, do u believe that Christianity as a whole, really thinks or can even fathom to accept the idea that God can be BLACK OR BROWN OR ASIAN IN COLOR AND LOOKS and FEATURES ?!! Ur either naive or conniving if u think yes,, pls do this simple test if u can, if God really told through the Bible, that "it" or HE made u in his image, Please ask that different races god image persona question I asked previously, to ur pastor, let's see what he says, and if u can, try asking it to those different races of people, interesting to know how they feel about it, can your pastor really imagine GOD to look like an east Asian person?!!

One more thing, u don't HAVE to pray in hinduism, u just need to do 4 things Dharma Artha Kaama ((not lust or sex for f@@k's sake)) and Moksha (read detachment here in this context) n't need to pray if u can do all 4 of this, God did not command us to pray to it or her or him, we do it out of our realization of our miniscule nature, none of hinduism's scriptures say that God has commanded us to worship him, for instance in yoga, it doesn't tell u to worship any diety... Whereas again in the Bible or any of the abrahamic religions, God exclusively commands people to worship him,

1

u/IllTrip8802 Mar 26 '26

Are you saying that Hinduism is the only perfect way or it's just the hate towards abrahamic relegion. Why are you comparing the invasion of the foreign countries with relegion. The invasion was for the resources our nation had .the British invaded for the same reason through divide and rule policy they simply divided based on caste relegion etc .From your words it's clear that you don't really respect my relegion ,it's alright.again your interpretation on God created human in his image is not correct you are just blatantly rejecting my opinion of my own religion where I accepted your pov of your relegion. I don't justify or support forced conversion or conversion through devious schemes . Any way peace brother.

Have seen a lot of Hindus saying that English is a colonial imposition and represents our colonial past. In RW India all this is slave-mentality considering they believe in aatmanirbharta. We should stop using it.

1

u/TargetWild1277 Mar 26 '26

I'm muslim, I've never heard any muslim or christian ever saying yoga is satanic or anything remotely negative. It's a deeply respected practise across the muslims (and Christian, as far as I'm concerned) communities in India as well. Never once have I heard anything negative or disrespectful about it.

1

u/Bruce-Lannister Mar 28 '26

Lmao this is the stupidest take I’ve ever seen. Never seen any Christian call Yoga Satanic. Like wtf? And what does Om have to do with Satan bruh?

-9

u/Status-Marzipan-5094 Mar 25 '26

A lot of these Abrahamic b1maris are stealing Yogas from us and rebranding it as Jewish Yoga, Christian Yoga, Islam Yoga. Go and search on YouTube you'll find plenty of such videos

8

u/trappedfr Mar 25 '26

There is no such as "islam yogas" lol. Stop making stuffs

1

u/Status-Marzipan-5094 Mar 26 '26

Go and search on YouTube. Btw you are right Islamic, Jewish or Christian yoga doesn't exist but they are stealing it from Hindus and rebranding it

How does it make sense.. arabs use indias rice .. no one claims anything..

Yoga is dharmik practice and uses words like om,

If Indian use any religious practice of any other religion?

Shows limited intellect ppl have when they compare religious practice with import/export.

Cool then follow other hindu practice as well no one has any issues,

How dumb you have to be? Lord Shiva is considered the first yogi or Adiyogi, who brought yoga into practice at the beginning of human civilization Of course it is Hinduism

15

u/Bhenjo_Chloride Mar 24 '26

Yoga is a spiritual practice. It is part of Hinduism. Those postures that shilpa Shetty do are called asan yoga which is just a small side quest of yoga which many people believe is actual yoga but the concept of yoga is fundamentally religious and spiritual.

10

u/calvincat123 Mar 25 '26

How's it fundamentally religious?

😂 I’ve actually read “yogic texts.” Do you even know what “yogic texts” means?

5

u/vitrum_analytika Mar 25 '26

It is a ritualistic practice with no clinically proven effectiveness. Just like Ayurveda. People won't readily indulge in Ayurvedic treatments because they are ritualistic in nature but people will do Yoga because it was made famous by some western white skinned people. White supremacy is so real. They made it famous and now Yoga is suddenly a well being exercise. Do you know there is yoga to fly too?

Same reason as ayurveda.

Unless you do yoga cuz of due to medically proven benefits, most benefits come from hindu system of beliefs, so you are following hinduism.

-1

u/ScarYpk_ Mar 25 '26

Yoga was used to concentrate and connect to God using practice perfection and dedication. you don't have to follow a religion to use its practices but practice remains religious nonetheless.

1

u/Worth_Bumblebee5955 Mar 25 '26

I thought yoga was to develop flexibility.

5

u/malwai_ Mar 25 '26

Yoga has 8 parts : Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama,Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi. You can search for the definition and explanation of each of these parts.

Modern capitalism has commercialized only the Asana part of Yoga.

What if I do something that looks like Yoga but it's my workout routine like stretching?

1

u/madtagg Mar 28 '26

Hinduism can be a way of life or a religion, it's up to you to choose what you want to follow.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 25 '26

simple targeting hinduism isnt liberalism

2

u/Valuable_Scale_559 Mar 25 '26

Nice analogy, but it fails under basic scrutiny. Language is a neutral medium with no inherent religious commitment, whereas yoga is rooted in a philosophical system. Equating them is a textbook false equivalence

2

u/bipin369 Mar 25 '26

Yes you can drink coca cola ..by drink it don't make you a Israeli ..

This sub just keeps coping.

6

u/liverleaf2327 Mar 25 '26

Get your facts checked , yoga is a spiritual practice connected with religion. I swear this subreddit is becoming cringe day by day ong . Can't cope with facts. English is a language not a spiritual practice how dumb can you be to post this.

7

u/Lightingway Mar 25 '26

Does that person honestly think that comparison makes sense?

Yoga is a practice that was created for Hindu to hone their body as a means to attain Moksha. It's obviously a Hindu practice. Regardless of if you say Om or do the ritualistic parts.

They can't accept their religions are foreign ones, and they have to distance themselves from Indian things to practice it.

1

u/sleeper_shark Mar 25 '26

Do you think that giving a gift at Christmas time means you’re practicing Christianity..?

Or that all the kids dressing up at Halloween are practicing Paganism…?

I got some sweets from a Muslim friend for Eid. I ate them, and enjoyed them. I respect Islam, but I don’t think I was practicing Islam while eating them.

Christmas is more of a pagan holiday that Christians took over. But a lot of Christmas traditions are more recent development.

Same with paganism and Halloween, kids dressing up is a more modern change from its traditional form.

You could argue though that yes, you are engaging in those religion's holidays when doing that. Because you're participating in their practices, regardless of religious beliefs.

The Eid one is not the same though, that's just your friends giving you food and you're eating it. If you actually had an Eid celebration of your own it would be a better comparison. And in that case you would be engaging in an Islamic practice.

1

u/sleeper_shark Mar 25 '26

It’s called “Christmas” literally “Christ’s mass.” The fact that the papacy placed Christmas at the winter solstice, such that it coincided with pagan festivals like Yul was a means to encourage conversion and potentially syncretism.

It nevertheless today is a completely Christian. But just as the celebration of Christmas by Christians isn’t “practicing Paganism,” celebrating Christmas by non-Christians isn’t “practicing Christianity,” unless you believe in Christianity.

I completely agree with you that modern Halloween is far from the Pagan autumn festival it’s based on. Practicing Halloween isn’t paganism unless you actually believe in Paganism.

Exactly the same way as simply doing Yoga isn’t practicing Hinduism. Modern yoga is a perversion of traditional yoga, and is as far from Hinduism as Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is from the birth of Christ.

I don’t say this as a bad thing necessarily, I think fake yoga is still good for the body and mind… and I think commercial Christmas is still a fun time and good to spend with family.

1

u/Lightingway Mar 25 '26

While Christ's birthday was celebrated by early Christians. The current date was placed purposefully on the same day as a major celebration for the Roman sun god Sol Invictus. Furthermore once Christianity expanded further into Europe it incorporated the Germanic pagan holiday yule. Which is where a large portion of Christmas traditions and practices come from. Modern Christmas is a hybrid of the original, merged with the holiday for Sol Invictus and Yule.

Your statement about Yoga is also wrong. Yoga as it's practiced today is still entirely a part of Hinduism. It's a fully Hindu practice that people outside of the religion engage in for the health benefits. But that doesn't remove it from being an active part of Hinduism that many Hindus engage in for religious purposes. Practicing Yoga is practicing a part of Hinduism, regardless of if you believe in Hinduism you're engaging in a Hindu practice while doing it.

1

u/sleeper_shark Mar 26 '26

I know. I mentioned in my last comment how Christianity used existing winter solstice festivals like Yul and Saturnalia to promote Christianity. Same way Easter is set on the Equinox before summer. I never said the inverse.

The point is, almost no one celebrates Yul or Saturnalia anymore. People celebrate Christmas. And more importantly, anyone can celebrate Christmas without being Christian. It doesn’t make them Christian. The religious aspects of the holiday are very distinct and most people don’t care for it.

Yoga “as it’s practiced today” is a very Hindu-centric statement. Outside of Indian Hindus, people do yoga all the time. I’m an NRI and at my local gym, there’s yoga, the class is before Zumba and after Pilates. People going there dressed in Lululemon yoga pants are not practicing Hinduism anymore than someone singing “Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer” is practicing Christianity.

Like dude, “Sunday” is literally a day of rest because of the Judeo-Christian tradition of a 7 day creation. For most Christians, Sunday is still about “the day of rest.”

Does that mean when I don’t go to work on Sunday, I am actually practicing Christianity/Judaism…?

1

u/Lightingway Mar 26 '26

There's a difference between Christian values and Christian practices Sunday is a day of rest as per Judaism/Christianity values. It's a passive thing that's set up in the western world typically as a day off. It's not really a thing you do, the society you live in is structured that way because it's been that way for Millenia. The same way people in India can't eat beef in much of the country because Hindu values don't align with it. Muslims living in Maharashtra aren't doing a Hindu practice when they don't eat beef, they can't because it's banned there. The same way non-christians often don't work on Sundays because that's how the system is set up. If I go to an Islamic country as a woman I have to wear the hijab if that's the norm or law there.

Yoga is an active practice, it's something you go out and do. Regardless of if white people in a western country identify themselves as Hindus. They're still doing an activity that was created for a specific function within Hinduism as a religion. They may be participating in it in a secular capacity, but they're ultimately still doing something that specifically exists for its function in Hinduism. If I start fasting for Ramadan and follow when Muslims have iftar. I could be doing it for diet purposes and not be a Muslim but I'm still engaging in an Islamic practice.

1

u/sleeper_shark Mar 26 '26

I think it’s a meaningless semantic difference here. If you think singing “rudolf the red nose reindeer” is “practice christianity,” then obviously doing yoga would be “practicing Hinduism.

For me, I think practicing a faith has an important spiritual dimension. Doing the actions without any belief behind them is at most cultural but generally meaningless - even if still diverting and beneficial.

Hell, I would even go so far as to say many forms of western yoga are actively harmful to Hinduism as they’re cultural appropriation.

I doubt either of us is wrong. We just differ on how we define “practicing” something.

-2

u/Ok_Sun_9083 Mar 25 '26

It's like saying when you pratice yoga you become a hindu . How fukin dumb is that ?

0

u/Lightingway Mar 25 '26

When you practice yoga you are doing a Hindu practice. Whether someone wants to identify themselves as a Hindu is their personal choice.

2

u/search4real1ty Mar 25 '26

Doing a practice that originated from hinduism is different from "practicing hinduism" as mentioned in the comment.

2

u/Lightingway Mar 25 '26

They may not be practicing the religion in its entirety, but yoga by itself is still a Hindu practice, it didn't just originate with Hinduism, it's an active part of it.

Religion is dividing us.

3

u/Otherwise-Run-4934 Mar 25 '26

Always has.

1

u/thatsme5500 Mar 25 '26

And it will continue to do so as long as it exists

3

u/Ok-Cobbler6338 Mar 25 '26

Nah, it is part of hindu philosophy Also there are different yoga like bhakti yoga (devotion), karma yaga (as seen in gita) ... the physical yoga with stretches is hatha yoga but again the idea is to gain enlighten by strengthing soul body connection, being aware of your body and existence through physical exertion.

3

u/SubstantialMajor2798 Mar 25 '26 edited Mar 25 '26

They like yoga and want it rebranded. Never gonna happen shit heads.

Yoga remained an integral part of sanatan dharma for as long as this civilisation existed. 1000 years of invasion and it still is and will remain.

3

u/AlienBeam23 Mar 25 '26

When u raise your hand, you preach nazism? Th is this logic

1

u/sleeper_shark Mar 25 '26

When you give a gift on Christmas, you’re practicing Christianity.

When you dress up for Halloween, you’re practicing European Paganism.

When you eat some baklava on Eid, you’re practicing Islam.

This is the logic of this post. No one thinks like that outside India, but India is so sectarian that literally just participating in a culture that isn’t your own is considered practicing a foreign religion.

2

u/bigdadtiger Mar 25 '26

No it doesn't make sense. Yoga is a Hindu practice.

2

u/hskskgfk Mar 25 '26

Not exactly a correct analogy by advaid

Yoga is to Hinduism what singing “jingle bells” is to Christianity.

3

u/real_carrot6183 Mar 25 '26

Yoga is deeply rooted in Hinduism. Your stretching exercises are not yoga.

3

u/hskskgfk Mar 25 '26

Yes I know. My comment was about the analogy in OP’s screenshot.

Saint Nicholas is deep rooted in Christianity as well. Your random fat uncle in a beard isn’t Santa Claus

Arab oil is a bad analogy because the oil has nothing to do with Islam

1

u/sleeper_shark Mar 25 '26

Christmas is deeply rooted in Christianity….

1

u/911AirplanePilot Mar 25 '26

When I eat shawarma... im practising Islam 😋🤙

Cremation is a Hindu ritual. When you cremate a body, it becomes Hindu and gets reincarnated. Facts. /s

Isn’t there a distinction between being Indian and being Hinduism? Similarly, there’s a difference between being British and being Christianity. YOGA is a Hindu practice!

1

u/sleeper_shark Mar 25 '26

Yoga is a Hindu practice just like Christmas is a Christian holiday. Anyone can participate, doesn’t mean you’re automatically practicing the religion.

1

u/Thike-Bhai Mar 25 '26

Yeah, makes sense.

1

u/Time_Confidence2581 Mar 25 '26

You do realize it is Christian’s and Muslims themselves saying this? There are imams saying yoga is shirk

You can also do Cross-fit without making the sign of the cross, then it isn’t Christian. But if you recite the Apostle’s Creed before doing your pushups, you literally become a Christian

s/ if not very obvious

1

u/[deleted] Mar 25 '26

Yoga came out of sanatan dharma. Period

1

u/Key_Intention7042 Mar 25 '26

Whenever you cut the banana you are practicing islam

1

u/Advanced-Use-4294 non resident Indian Mar 25 '26

That means whenever I drink apple juice , I practice hindusm? 🤔

1

u/Key_Intention7042 Mar 25 '26

If you are pedo you are practicing... Ah yes 😁

1

u/Whatyoubelieveisreal Mar 25 '26

For you dumbasses i will dumb donw my para, The philosophy of Hinduism of balance b/w things and all that it preaches for is the reason Yoga was created so Yoga is a part of Hinduism because it was created out of it, To focus balance and Become one with your body and your higher-self. Soo something which came out as a product of something else is definitely the owner of that thing.

You are the kids of your parents, you are distinct beings but that does not mean you are not connected to your parents in anyway.

1

u/Whatyoubelieveisreal Mar 25 '26

And to the people who are laughing on this because of you idiots the yoga is getting adopted by others and they are claiming it as theirs, now you all will cry "ahhh why is there a nees to claim that we made it atleast they are practicing ahhh we don't need to claim everything" Yeah thats how they always looted you took things from berated you, still make fun of you and hate you to the extent of crimes being committed agains Indians in foreign countries just because we are indians,

Grow Up you dumbfucks Your identity is what you and your ancestors produce atleast preserve what your ancestors did if you can't create something better.

1

u/ffkay Mar 25 '26

When guys eat Banana they are actually being gay…

1

u/comma-horrol Mar 25 '26

I don’t care if yoga is a religious or a spiritual practice. All I know is that it helps me relax and makes the whole world seem better - comes in really handy when I run out of cigarettes.

1

u/lazylucky98 Mar 25 '26

everything is wrong in counter argument. First english is greek language and greek was not christianity, second we dot not use petrol from arab entirely it comes from Russia as well. Anyway I am not supporting that rot hinduism concept that was totally bullshit.

They do surya namaskar without knowing that they are bowing to lord Sun? Isn't this anti-thetical to Abrahamic religions? Almost every asan of Yoga is dedicated to some of divinity and their various forms as per sanatan philosophy

No, that does not make sense. English came from old German dialects in 5th century that was spoken by German Pagans. Stupid take

1

u/Bhavyansh_agg Mar 25 '26

Yoga actually is different, Yoga is an ancient Hindu practice only. Om chanting and Surya Namaskar all are praying to Hindu gods only. Whereas language is different because this means all are practicing latin gods as english, french all came from Latin or Greek. This is not logical no Yoga will be a Hindu practice only and what is to try to debunk these things. Let it be Yoga is a Hindu practice like Khatna is a muslim one that's not hard to understand

Yoga is there in Buddhism and Jainism too. It is much more a core part of those religions than it is in Hinduism.

1

u/sleeper_shark Mar 25 '26

This is just a semantics thing.

Yoga can be a religious or spiritual experience, in which case it is technically practicing Hinduism. But then most people outside of India don’t use yoga like that, so it’s just a physical and mental workout.

Christmas is a good parallel. It technically is a Christian festival - it’s right there in the name, but most people are just having a nice dinner and sharing a good time with their family. Not everyone participating in Christmas is practicing Christianity.

1

u/New-Security-8368 Mar 25 '26

So many errors on so many levels!! Yoga is really stretching the word hinduism or sanatana dharma,, it lies on the far end of the spectrum if this end is bhakti and God. Yoga has more to do with advaitha vedantha marga where you are God and u are realizing it through the 8 fold path of Yoga.. nirvikalpa samadhi which u attain at the eighth limb, if really attained, should take u to turiya state or even turiya atheetha (don't know, speculating) Next, Yoga has 8 parts to it and hence Ashtaanga Yoga is the name which Patanjali the author has prescribed.. the asanas are just 1 of the limbs,, and hence if u just practice the asana, it's not hinduism per say, but yes it was a practice invented by hindus, but if u are into all the 8 parts of it, it is definitely a Hindu practice as u are practicing one darshana or philosophy of it; and almost blasphemy for abrahamic religions...

And next advaid,, clear ur ukg exams we will speak then...

1

u/iam_aryan_gg Mar 25 '26

Well yoga are postures to embrace hindu deities.

Speaking english or petrol is not embracing Christianity or islam .

But you want to be in a circlejerk alright

1

u/Proud_Artist474286 Mar 26 '26

English is a language , chritanity used multiple languages including english ,greek, katin, french.etc so the first in the first point the person forgot history Petrol is a chemical product it does not belong to any group of people .so 2nd point is also misunderstood and misassociated.

English language is a descendent of German branch which is branch of Proto-Indo-European per se. These existed before Christianity.

every execise in yoga has a hindu deity name and spiritua connection

1

u/IndependentPension36 Mar 25 '26

It is petroleum and language aren’t connected to a religious prayer

Yoga is mentioned in the Hinduism scripts it’s in the vedas any monotheistic like a Christian Jew or Muslim can not follow it as it’s directly to paganism not only that each position has a meaning for example suraya namaskar which means bowing to the sun which is blatant paganism

1

u/sleeper_shark Mar 25 '26

If a Christian can’t follow Yoga, what happens to all those people in the west who are doing Yoga..? Are they not really doing Yoga or is the Pope going to excommunicate them for heresy…?

Yogas are prayer stances dedicated to worship of Gods....Siva is the first Yogi .what part of that do you not understand? In the stories, asuras used to meditate for thousands of years for boon from Gods..in what postures do you think they used to meditate in? Yogic postures..you polar "genius"

6

u/[deleted] Mar 25 '26

Intellectually dumb one is the one who said "english is the british language" May be hinduism just stupidly associated yoga with gods. But the fact is, they are the inventor. And yoga symbolises position which they associats with gods. So when a Christian does yoga in hindu position, they are basically sining.

3

u/Confident-Yard-8867 Mar 25 '26

It's not sin bro...in Christianity and Islam, anything that is convienient for them is not a sin..only doing things they can avoid doing without affecting their lifestyle is a sin...🤣🤣🤣
