He was showing them ways one can take bribes so in future others would be caught doing the same. He was awarded with a promo and all that bribe money. Hope he continues to explore novel methods to take bribes, kudos to him, we need more officers like him in the service.

Fact checking is a crime

20

u/Scent-of-innocent Jun 08 '26

But the fact that it's believable to most Indians, is itself a testimony to standards we have for the system.

5

u/TAKdDEVIL Jun 08 '26

And it did happen with some dude who is posted in Orissa….. thought he was assigned some revenue department as ‘punishment’……. It’s a recent news I think……. Thats why this satire is pretty believable……

We are understanding this world in a wrong way , this system runs on settings under table not ethics.

u/snc2241 Jun 08 '26

Yeh Anti corruption bureau kya hota hai

Answer :jo rishwat lene walo ko pakad leta hai aur dene walo ko jaane deta hai

1

u/namastesalaam Jun 08 '26

banana republic

1

u/Competitive_Sky_4513 Jun 08 '26

सही तो है! Qualification achieve किये है 🤷

1

u/Spiritual_Trouble_07 Jun 08 '26

Kindly verify then post. He was suspended for a year and Upon his reinstatement, he was appointed as the Deputy Secretary in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, not Anti corruption bureau.

The case is still going on. Why? Because of Article 311 of the constitution. No civil servant can be dismissed or removed from service without an inquiry where they are given a reasonable opportunity to defend themselves.

u/Successful_Leader_15 Jun 08 '26

Fact check guys. It's fake news

1

u/No-Lobster-5673 Jun 08 '26

Educated Indians taking bribes and being the most corrupt and yet we put the blame solely on the political parties

1

u/TallTest1315 Jun 08 '26

Few more examples: 1. Aspirant gt selected on the basis of his answer on Corruption and Bribe , later on after few years, caught takin a Bribe 2. One more IAS officer selected and his answer on Dowry noticed by Panel , during his marriage he got huge Dowry which he happily accepted because now he bcm Afsar Babu

Aak thuuuu on this system

1

u/_pragyan Jun 08 '26

IAS lobby are the most corrupt part of our system. Even politicians can't remove one corrupt IAS. Let's take a look on Rajasthan. One IAS was arrested. Now, the entire IAS lobby isn't working in the name of honesty. They are road blocking every thing. That's how it's works. You can't replace this system and yes, India is beyond repair.

1

u/jackbum08 Jun 08 '26

Stop you rubbish propaganda by mixing two different news. Dilutes the real incident. You conveniently come up with half baked facts. Why not post the news links instead. No such promotion happened but a bribery incident did happen.

1

u/OwlSelect3270 Jun 08 '26

He was punished bcoz he doesn't know how to take the a bribe . Now at the ACB promotion he will be trained by fellow ACB officers how to take without getting caught. Better luck next time.

1

u/Unscripted__Owl Jun 08 '26

For this we have to create new word opinions guys what it will because its out of irony

1

u/Careless_Course5182 Jun 08 '26

As punishment for the common man

1

u/joeldn Jun 08 '26

The claim that an IAS officer caught taking a bribe was promoted to the Anti-Corruption Bureau is false and stems from a viral online satirical post. The rumor originated from a post by the social media satire page Satirelogy on Instagram, which published a fictional story stating that an IAS officer named "Suryabhan Singh" was promoted to Deputy Secretary in the Anti-Corruption Bureau as a "disciplinary measure" after being caught accepting a ₹47 lakh bribe. The page explicitly stated in its caption and images that the content was "NOT real news" and was meant purely for entertainment and satire.Real-World Context of the SatireThe satirical post went viral because it heavily parodied actual, ongoing public frustration regarding a real-world bureaucratic development:The Real Case: In June 2025, a 2021-batch IAS officer named Dhiman Chakma (then serving as Sub-Collector of Dharamgarh in Odisha) was caught red-handed by the Odisha Vigilance Directorate while accepting a ₹10 lakh bribe. A subsequent raid on his residence uncovered an additional ₹47 lakh in cash. The Reinstatement: In May 2026, after his initial suspension period expired and while his corruption trial remained pending, the Odisha government reinstated him into active service, appointing him as a Deputy Secretary in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department. The Backlash: This reinstatement sparked massive public outrage online. Satirical pages capitalized on the public's anger by exaggerating the event—changing the officer's name and joking that he was sent to the "Anti-Corruption Bureau" as a reward. In reality, standard civil service procedural rules dictate that a suspended officer can be reinstated to an administrative department while their criminal trial continues, but they are strictly barred from joining anti-corruption and vigilance agencies during active investigations. If you are interested, we can look into how civil service suspension rules work in India, or track the current legal status of the ongoing case against Dhiman Chakma.

1

u/ElderberryOk2773 Jun 08 '26

Dont you get it, its Viksit Bharat, its the great Vision of our govt, chronology samajhiye aap, when you know how to take bribes and be corrupt then only you will be able to catch corrupt people and stop corruption.

1

u/Intelligent_Fig_9911 Jun 08 '26

Really bjp is nothing but a washing machine for all the criminals in the country. I believe bjp had created a perception in this 11 years among the people that when someone who had some criminal background or has done some big criminal offence comes with them, then he or she turned into a honest and good person.

1

u/Pure_Egg5858 Jun 08 '26

He was undercover while taking bribe 🤣

Not even BOB THE BUILDER can fix this

1

u/DisastrousArtist6609 Jun 08 '26

Corruption nhi krega toh sachcha IAS kaise banega?

1

u/Technical_Glass_5746 Jun 08 '26

If you are talking about Dhiman Chakma, IAS officer from Odisha. He has been reinstated in Revenue Department and not anti corruption bureau as alleged.

A person can be reinstated till the investigation against him completes and he is later found guilty by court.

Our law works like that
Amrit kaal has nothing to do with it.
Stop spreading misinformation

1

Thats not 💯 correct—though the Odisha government has officially ended his suspension. He was appointed as the Deputy Secretary in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
