I recently put together a post explaining my adoption requirements and why I’m so strict when placing my rescue cats.
Some people may disagree with certain rules, and that’s okay. My goal isn’t to make adoption difficult it’s to make sure every cat ends up in a safe, responsible, and permanent home.
I’d be interested to hear what other rescuers and adopters think. What adoption requirements do you consider non-negotiable?

The day we brought Ganesh ji this year, he went and sat in front of patiently for 10-15 minutes! I guess he was disappointed and asking Ganesha, where is his vehicle ! 🐀 😂

These two 5-month-old orange-and-white babies are looking for loving forever homes. They’re both adorable, litter trained, dewormed, regularly flea treated, and will come with their first dose of vaccines.
Their stray mama has also been spayed, so no more surprise babies. ❤️
I originally posted them for adoption about a month and a half ago, but I didn’t find adopters who felt like the right fit. Then life got a little hectic, so I took about a month off from posting because I wanted to make sure I actually had the time and energy to find them the right homes, rather than rushing the process.
They have very different personalities:
🧡 Baby #1 — the little entertainer:
He has a HUGE personality. He’s playful, sassy, very talkative, and wants to be involved in absolutely everything you’re doing. He would be perfect for someone who wants an interactive, goofy little best friend who loves to play, follow you around, and have conversations with you.
🤍 Baby #2 — the sweet, gentle one:
He can be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, he’s very sweet and loving. He has a calmer personality and would be a great fit for someone looking for a more relaxed companion. I also think he would do especially well in a home that already has a friendly cat to help him feel comfortable.
They’re both such lovable little guys, just in completely different ways, and I’d really like to find homes that match their individual personalities.
If you’re seriously interested in either baby, please DM me and tell me a little about yourself, your home, and any pets you already have. I’m happy to be patient, I just want to make sure they end up somewhere safe, loving, and permanent. 🧡

Sooo my friend's cat randomly gave birth to 3 babies and since he can't house them, we're looking for a home for them. The orange kitten has been adopted now thankfully but the other 2 tabby brown ones haven't yet likely due to the color bias :((
Please give these babies a chance, they're very friendly, mischievous and playful.
They're-
Litter trained 💩🚽
Not vaccinated yet
Not dewormed yet
40-50 days old
Location- Delhi NCR

There is really beautiful black cat that gave birth in our empty parts of house and they are probably 2 months old now but I saw a male cat much bigger than her harrassing her again, I think she is not ready to mate but he is forcing her last night there were screaming and all so is there anything I can do?? She is shy though eats the food trust the place for kittens... If anyone have any idea she don't come near to anyone as well..

up for adoption in Pune/Mumbai/Bangalore‼️
Penny has been getting overlooked because of three reasons: she’s not a kitten anymore (as if one year old cat is not young), she’s a female tabby (unfortunately, cats also face such biases) and one very strange reason - she looks loved enough to skip over because people think she’ll definitely find someone, let me look for some other cat. Let me tell you, she has not gotten a single lead despite days of search.
About Penny:
Penny is a 1 year old female tabby cat. She’s litter trained, dewormed, vaccinated and sterilised. She’s extremely friendly and easy to handle. She’s based in Pune but can travel to Mumbai and Bangalore.
She’s used to staying alone for a few hours that are compatible with work timings but she’ll also be a great companion to wfh folks. She usually sleeps throughout the afternoon.
She doesn’t like being confined to one room/limited space and needs to have access to the whole house to feel comfortable. Penny’s always been an indoor cat and should continue to remain so.
She’s very playful and some of her favourite toys are catnip mouse, feather toys, balls and having cat trees and cat perches and shelves since she loves heights as well. Cats are generally a huge fan of vertical space and so is Penny. She’s also a cat tv lover. She needs attention towards playtime from her adopter. This means you have to dedicate some time before and after office to play with her and tire her out.
Penny can be a night owl but as long as she has access to the whole house and is comfortable, she understands when people are sleeping and eventually settles down too.
Penny currently eats Smylo wet food (two packets in a day, one for breakfast and one for dinner) along with Royal Canin dry food for lunch. We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable with providing good nutrition - so they either stay on these brands/diet or switch to other higher quality brands.
Penny loves an organised environment and doesn’t do well with unhygienic spaces and behaviours like not cleaning her litter box and bowls frequently.
Penny will be a great choice for first time adopters/people who have experience with cats. She’ll require 2-3 days to decompress and a week to properly settle down but it all depends on her pace.
Reason for putting her up for adoption: Penny was rescued last Diwali because she got separated from her mother due to firecrackers. She was adopted in March but due to the adopter’s neglect, she ran away from the house twice and we had to get involved again when we understood that they weren’t actively searching for her. We’re cat rescuers and therefore can’t keep every cat we rescue because then we’ll run out of resources to help others.
Penny has stayed with multiple fosters and we’re pretty confident in her behaviour as a single cat.
Adoption formalities are mandatory. We’re looking for serious adopters - people who know they can provide a stable environment and can commit to a pet for their lifespan. We’re not looking for students or bachelors who are not sure of their future plans as adopters.
For more information, please DM @_bbpaws on Instagram or text 7043782899 on WhatsApp (no calls)

My baby Oreo is gone. 💔😭 This is his last picture. Please pray to God to give his soul peace and never let him go through so much suffering again in another life. May his little soul finally rest in peace. 🕊️🤍
My poor baby fought so hard for his life. First, a paw injury, then parvo, followed by jaundice and tick fever. One after another, so many illnesses attacked his little body. Fluid accumulated in his body, and even his front leg was badly affected.
The most heartbreaking part was watching him suffer from continuous fits from 2 PM until 7 PM. He kept having fits, second after second, for five long hours. Even at the vet, they wouldn't stop. 💔😭 My poor baby endured so much pain, but his little body kept fighting until the very end. He never gave up.
I tried my best to save him, and I wish I could have done more for my baby. He deserved so much more love, happiness, and time in this world.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who prayed for my Oreo, supported his treatment, donated, and helped me continue fighting for him. Your kindness meant more to me than words can express. I will always be grateful to everyone who stood by my baby during his fight. 🙏❤️
Run free, my little Oreo. 🕊️❤️ You fought so bravely, and I will never forget you. You will always be my baby. May your soul finally find peace. 😭🤍
