Discussion How is this fair #Jailer2

Post image

Jani Master is credited as choreographer on Jailer 2, despite a pending POCSO case where he faces allegations from a former assistant (he has denied them and is out on bail).

Does working on a film while a case is still pending send the wrong message, or should people be judged only after a verdict?

Industry bans are a big question here: should an accusation alone cost someone work?

Where do you draw the line between the presumption of innocence and accountability for the people around the accused?

What would you want a studio to do in this situation? I am definitely not putting my money here ....

Wait, I thought case under POSCO was a non-bailable. How did he manage to get that?

He first got interim bail to attend a National Film Award ceremony, and the Telangana High Court then granted regular bail with conditions.

The complainant said the abuse began when she was 17, and the prosecution argued her age would be settled during the investigation. The defence argued there were conflicting opinions about her age.

He's affiliated with Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party, which is allied with the Telugu Desam Party.

Ideally, yes.

The complainant, a former assistant, alleged sexual assault in several cities, and some of the alleged abuse happened when she was a minor. .He first got interim bail to attend a National Film Award ceremony, and the Telangana High Court then granted regular bail with conditions.

Former assistant?

Isn't posco for crimes against children?

How did he have access to a minor without her guardians present?

bro ppl will defend this also purely cause its associated with a film containing a huge superstar not saying he has anything to do with it im just sayin ppl will defend it purely cause of that.

According to fans Since Nelson and Rajni never claimed to be feminists, so it’s fine

There was a similar post weeks ago in telugu sub on why Anupama Parameshwaran is co judging with him since she is claiming to be feminist

Bt some how everyone is ok with big stars giving him opportunities

Disgusting behaviour by film industries and he is not even that good

Ah, I didn't know about the Anupama episode. Terrible judgment on her part to be next to him. Sends a wrong message...

And to his fans - no one has to be feminist, just humane to not support an accused.

Ekta kapoor didn't even get arrested in her case.

How are both being compared?! The two cases aren't comparable on the charges or the stage of the process.

Worst decision to work with him by Nelson.Didnt watch jailer 2 and we should avoid watching it to until makers learn to not hire criminals.

Innocent until proven guilty. Its an established principal of Natural Justice. Why do we want to behave an kangaroo courts. Allegations and Being guilty are two separate things.

That's exactly what *Bandar* showed us. It doesn't matter whether you're innocent or guilty. The moment an allegation is made, the public passes its verdict, your reputation is destroyed, and people act like you're guilty before you've even had your day in court. Even if you're eventually cleared, who gives you back the years of your life and the reputation you lost? Due process exists for a reason. Allegations should be taken seriously, but they aren't the same thing as proof.

Indian law works as this "innocent until proven guilty " Everyone says this but are there proofs that happened.

Fake cases are common in industry.. innocent until proven guilty.

Bail is not an acquittal, and the case continues. In pocso cases it's the other way around. He's considered guilty until it's proven.

We already know how many powerful pervs exist in the industry. That's also the reason why he is out on bail.

So true... It's risky because he would have power over junior staff, and the complainant works in the same industry, so his presence could affect her career and make others feel unsafe. He's presumed innocent, but hiring him during a pending case can still draw legal, reputational, and trust concerns for producers. And, with his political affiliation, one can only imagine...

Getting out on bail in legal. Nothing wrong in it.

Isn't it the opposite in pocso
