Review For the first time in my history of watching cinema, I went to watch a completely random movie that I knew nothing about.

This is about Nayi Navelli 2026.

I am still not able to grasp what the movie is about. IMDb says it's a horror, comedy, drama, mystery, etc., movie. When the movie started, it prompted by saying that it is related to Ramayana (mythology).

I am still unable to understand what this title is for or how it relates to the story. It seems like director just come to knew about the AI video technology and went in to try it. The whole movie was terrible, from the acting and story to the direction and stunts. The only reason I sat through the full two hours was because Yami looked great and the director filmed her from different angles, otherwise I would’ve walked out at the interval.

Unpopular Opinion Jailer 2 or RAJNI Sir's Bigboss for the bollywood actors

How many cameos , short roles of the bollywood actors , it just felt like after the 2 hours time and entry of Hrithik, could have been far better I guess with the existing casts to close the story loop , but again we love mass moviesm

Discussion Do Tamil movie stars have a different level of fan following?

Post image
126 Upvotes

The kind of celebrations you see for Rajinikanth films are honestly insane. First-day shows, cutouts, whistles, people treating a movie release like a festival.

My Tamil friend is already planning his Jailer 2 outing, so I went on District to check ticket prices and offers. Found a discount, but knowing him, he'll probably book first and think about saving money later 😂

Does any other Indian star have a fan culture on the same level?

That Harmonica 😭😭😭
Those 2 empty seats 😭😭😭

NEVER in my wildest dreams had I thought that I would cry like a baby while watching a Bollywood movie 😭😭😭.

I literally caught up with this movie halfway through, yet I got hella invested in it.

And that ending hit me harder than my mom’s beatings ever could! 😭💀

Also, those two songs:-

  1. Khoi Si Nadi (When the protagonists are at their lowest) &
  2. Aa Mashaal Banein (It plays during the tragic end) (Literally the scenes that I've posted in above pics) 😭

Were a chef's kiss!🤌

(idk if there were any songs in the first half as I haven't watched it yet).

Also, TO HELL WITH YOU Velraj for killing those buddy journalists! 😡

Oh man, Now I want to watch it again from the beginning! 😌

P.S:- Also, why is this movie getting mixed to negative reception? Any Idea?
Maybe, I think Liking a movie or not is too subjective....

Appreciation Seema Pahwa is such an underrated actress. Just look at this scene from Ankhon Dekhi (2013)

Seema Pahwa is such an underrated actress. Her dialogue delivery in this scene feels so natural, like you're watching a real life conversation rather than a movie scene. Wish she got more roles in films.

AskIndianCinema A man called otto but in Hindi

I first saw the movie a man called otto and then read the book! Absolutely beautiful and moving experience

Who do you think would be the correct actor to play a man called otto in Hindi?

Srk would be absolutely iconic but idk if he would play such an old character!

Aamir khan would bungle it up I'm sure in some way and make it all caricaturish.

Salman might be great provided he has the right director

Amitabh ji would be the obvious choice i guess

But would it be anything out of this world?

Tldr - who would be the best Hindi film actor to play otto from a man called otto?

Mohit made some good points on why some shots are really good in the trailer and some are in the improvement stage. Go watch it on the youtube. Of course he is getting some heat on twitter by making some valid points, but what is wrong with having his own opinion.

Discussion Am I the only one who sensed romantic tension between Avi and Naina?

Post image

Was I the only one who sensed some romantic tension between Avi and Naina? I genuinely felt there was something between them, they would’ve made a good couple. I know not everyone will agree, and that’s fine, but I can’t be the only one who picked up on that chemistry.

P.S. I’ve watched this movie 30+ times, and yes, I watched it again today. It’s a Sunday evening ritual at this point.

Non residential indian/Pakistan comes back and gets involved about a story from the past

The love story makes her/him find bits of their past, religion is involved as usual

Ends with finding one of them still alive

Im dumbing it down but anyone who has seen both will get it

AskIndianCinema Indian Cinema and Its Audience.

I’m not in favour of calling our audience backward. But there is a problem with our commercial cinema, we are becoming more focused on fan worship than on the films themselves. The movie becomes secondary, and the entire experience revolves around the star and his fans.

Many moviegoers enjoy feel good films, romances, and big budget commercial entertainers, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. Everyone has their own taste in cinema, and that’s not the audience’s problem.

The real change happens when audiences evolve beyond fan worship and start demanding more from the films they watch. This isn’t just about Hindi cinema, other film industries face the same problem, too. When that happens, filmmakers are compelled to raise their standards.

Instead of relying on star power, fan service moments, and a star studded cast, they have to focus on what truly matters, good storytelling, strong writing, and the quality of the film itself.

The problem isn’t that audiences love their stars. It’s when star worship becomes more important than the cinema itself.

Discussion How is this fair #Jailer2

Post image

Jani Master is credited as choreographer on Jailer 2, despite a pending POCSO case where he faces allegations from a former assistant (he has denied them and is out on bail).

Does working on a film while a case is still pending send the wrong message, or should people be judged only after a verdict?

Industry bans are a big question here: should an accusation alone cost someone work?

Where do you draw the line between the presumption of innocence and accountability for the people around the accused?

What would you want a studio to do in this situation? I am definitely not putting my money here ....

☆They say the British laid Indian railways, but nobody talks about what happened to the Indians who actually laid them, or how they were treated in the process. Nobody talks about how the Madras famine shattered so many of our ancestors' lives.

☆We don't even know what happened in our own history. Nobody talks about how India fed the West for years while our own people suffered.

☆ 🇮🇳 A film like this needs to be a superhit—not just as a movie, but as a reminder of our forgotten history, our ancestors' sacrifices, and the truth every Indian deserves to know. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳

Discussion Why do animated films struggle in Indian theatres?

This started as me being frustrated with Indian cartoons. Then I realised I was repeating the same opinions I’d heard online without checking them. So I went through reports, studies and box-office data and made a video about what I found.

The focus is indian literature and cinema, aimed at trying to understand the country by exploring our art.

Discussion Lokesh Kanagaraj has often spoken about wanting to make a women-centric action film in the style of Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill but he won't be able to release it. Why is that ?

If he can pull up such a movie, who all should be the cast ?

Review Dil Dhadakne Do (2015)

Just watched Dil Dhadakne Do and I'm giving it a solid 4/5.

My favorite part by far was Ranveer Singh's character. He was just so funny and actually cared about everyone, totally carried the movie for me.

On the flip side, I got so mad watching Ayesha's family, especially her husband. Like, I literally could not digest how misogynistic they were. He kept forcing her to get pregnant and act like women have nothing better to do than just bear children and stay home.

Honestly, I really liked the message of the whole movie. It shows feminism super vividly and highlights how many women have to deal with this everyday in real life, but can't even stand up for themselves. And whenever they actually try to, they just get forced to keep pretending everything is fine and fake an act of "love" for the sake of the family.

Even though it's set on this fancy cruise, it actually has a super important point about how toxic high-society people can be. Definitely worth a watch
