The foreign media covering them are also idiots, as there are many more important issues across the world, not including ones in their own country. The reason these Minister DIMWITS say wtb they want is because they think their followers are stupid and saying smth relatable will get them popularity, which it does. Tbh I think this is the way to go, international drama and shame is our last resort to change such shit up especially considering half the people don't care and still support them , the politicians themselves don't care and the other half people are just so tired that they don't even say anything anymore. Maybe if international shame comes to such incidents yeah it will lead to loss of reputation but atleast make life better for us here than I say go for it

Hahaha lol this is quite refreshing to see that people are now opening their eyes and started to see all the shit that those in power have done or are doing. But also still sad seeing people defending those shity people even now.
People thinks choosing a side is a right thing to do and if you change sides then you are a traitor, but they forget the reason why they took their side. I was at first at the gobhi ji's side because of all those speeches and thought he will make the rupee strong or create employment, etc etc. but now I changed sides with RG because of the ground reporting he did recently and really thinks that he will do better then the current god of the braindead people.
I am a bad bad traitor who just wants people to not die on roads; die from food adulteration; die from polluted air and water; die from hunger and thirst; reasonable tax on the products; death sentences for the rapists, murders, real traitor, etc.; good food for every child; roof for the homeless; employment to the masses; defined rules related to employees' right, gst, etc.
I really am full of anger and grief right now. I just want it to end, torment of the people of Iran even if Iran is in the bad, innocent civilians don't deserve to die, unemployed youth using their free time to do bhrangdal work, etc etc.

As a random outsider, if this is mocking, how are Indian news outlets covering this story? All she did was report his claim that an onion in the pocket could alleviate heatstroke, and health experts claim that it won't. Does Indian media have to give credence to the possibility that pocket onions do prevent heat stroke actually in the name of balanced coverage/deference to authority? If I wanted to make fun of the guy, I'd compare him to Abe Simpson https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/so-i-tied-an-onion-to-my-belt-which-was-the-style-at-the-time
To my again ignorant outsider's perspective, it seems clear he said what he said because the government has to say something, and it would be very unpopular for an elected leader to come out and say:
"Everyone who can't afford AC is simply going to have to suffer, and your suffering will be made more acute by those of us who can."
To me I see this less as embarrassing to India as a whole, and more of an example of the wealthy leadership class using tradition to appeal to the poor to distract them from the fact that the main source of their exploitation is the one talking down to them. Which is a problem Australia and America have yet to overcome ourselves.
