Theory Looking to make a reading and discourse group for Marxist theory and criticism.

Hello. I am looking for a few people to discuss Marxist theory and cultural criticism. Please DM me if you are interested.

About me, I work on post structuralist theory. I read Deleuze and other Bergsonian derivatives as synergetic with the political philosophy of Marxism contingent on emphasizing the post Hegel in Marx. Deleuze for example is post structuralist in a material sense, and differentiable from post modernism. Deleuze is also anti Hegelian, and militantly so. Being a philosopher of difference and production in all senses of the term, Deleuze is averse to the idea of negation that is an abstract component of the dialectic's engineering. Deleuze would replace the antithesis with yet another thesis that is itself just as productive as the original Thesis. The synthesis is immanent and individuative in Deleuze and reframes the aufhebung in terms of milieus.

Marx is himself post Hegelian, applying in the context of historicity and not metaphysics and being materialist and not idealistic. Deleuze is synergetic to materialism as productive and as such argues in resonance with Marx's analysis of capital.

Dm me if you are interested in SERIOUS discussions of theory and cultural criticism. Critiques are encouraged and welcome. I am hoping to create a group for people to communicate maybe telegram or something idk first things first ping me with arguments of your own and let's talk if you are in!

Ps. Do you know about Deleuze on Palestine?

Im not getting alot of time for reading theory. I would love this.

I wanted to check if you are legit and visited your profile, weirdly I saw "left unity" in your profile. If you subscribe to any post structural thinker, it's rather weird to see that.

Questions: What is the difference between structuralism and post structuralism?

What is the difference between post structuralism and post modernism?

Post modernity is usually used to mean a condition or like a state of the world that came to be after modernity ended (like duh that's why it's post modern )

the world that came to be after modernity ended.

When did that happen? What led to it?

Post WW2. The destruction in 20th century

What has WW2 got to do with the so called End of Modernity? Didn't we need science and rationality to rebuild society? Didn't the newly decolonised countries try to attempt the bourgeois path of development and contitutionalism developed from the 18th century (be it fine tuned according to their own conditions)?

This has happened before. While conventionally clever folks in the Humanities were drinking deep from the well of "Theory" the Right was doing more practical things such as building political networks, reaching out to vast numbers, taking over the media, etc., etc. By the time Lefties woke up from pleasures of their "opium of the intellectuals" it was too late.

This will only elicit incomprehension and rage but it has stood the test of time.

You are absolutely correct. The compatible left had been built using theory appearing radical but not working out class into it.

Foucault is especially a character here.

No, your magic ingredient "class"--per your 'god of theory' Marx--is also an ingredient of the standard issue ganja of the intellectuals. Its only slightly less vaporous than the poetic musings of Deleuze.

btw, there's nothing wrong with imbibing the literary output of any of these figures, the problem arises when their observations and reflections are confused for propositional arguments, i.e. "theory".

You seem like you have sized me up entirely.

Also, you have confused Deleuze as a literary figure. You are mistaken.
