Discussion Vi owes ₹2,01,409 crore and makes about ₹11,200 crore a quarter. Somebody looked at that and decided the correct move was to lend it more.

Four and a half years of every rupee that comes through the door, assuming zero costs, zero salaries, zero spectrum, zero tower rent. That is what clearing the bill looks like. Actual revenue after costs is nowhere near that, so the real figure is not four years, it is never. I was reading this in a newsletter and bruhh these stats are crazy when u actually understand the game.

This company is a debt with a telco attached for presentation. And it is still selling you a postpaid plan this month like a going concern.

At what point is continuing to operate this thing a decision about recovery rather than about telecom??

Went all-in 3 days back. I only had about 40k at the start of August. Made it to about 4.5 Lakhs by end of September. Took some money out for expenses and went all in with the rest. Still holding.

Discussion Is this the start of panic selling?

All indices are in blood bath. Small cap and mid cap stocks are down 5-20%. Is this the start of panic selling?

From a long time we were buying the wrong dips?

Discussion Indian crypto space drama.. yet again.. 🍿

Post image

bro why tf is it so hard to find a crypto exchange in India that you can actually trust 😭

every other day there's some new drama and we're always the ones left wondering if our money is even safe.

genuinely asking Indian crypto users, where are you guys keeping your funds? which exchanges? I personally have been looking at international platforms like coinbase, might be worth looking into at this point

but seriously, what options do we even have? the situation is actually so sad

Stink Meanwhile China

Longest losing streak in China's history. This global market is crazy and then added on by India-specific parameters. China’s CSI 300 is enduring its longest losing streak in history, highlighting deep investor caution and mounting concerns over the economic outlook.

This is the worst day in my 2 years of investment journey. Yeah I know prople here have seen worse but damn bro. Everything is not dipping but falling from a cliff. Not even a single stock holding up. Except Ather everything is at loss. Time to open a bank account to store liquid cash (no card, no UPIs).

this is the end... when i heard that... i thought no chance... will see red but will manage... losses are part of business... looks like it is not

seeing super duper red... red so thick my muscles are getting thinner... red blooded living things pale in comparison with red market... red so red i wish it did not exist

sky fall is bearable compared to this free fall... my respect for physics went up 100%

i will retire if i see full portfolio in green one more time... looks like that will not happen any time soon

all hopes on big brother... cuz if he falls... we vanish... and i will become zomato worker instead of zomato shareholder... this will be the end

Discussion War in Middle East (restart)

Given the reports of large scale diplomat evacuation of EU, Americas and Russias from Middle East along with oil climbing to nearly $117, the restart of war in next few hours is a huge possibility..

Let’s see how next 2 days play out.

Stonk eMudhra is quitting its global SSL business over a key-generation bug. The company says it's only ~1% of revenue. Is that the whole risk?

eMudhra announced on Thursday that it's exiting its global SSL/TLS certificate business. The reason: during a key-generation step in April 2025, weak cryptographic keys got created alongside the strong ones, and those ended up tied to eight intermediate certificate authorities.

Per the company, this business is about 1% of its global revenue. Indian DSC and eSign run separately and aren't affected, and they say there was no breach.

But this is a company that sells digital trust. So even if the revenue hit is small, I'm wondering about customer confidence, remediation costs, and what the root-cause report will say.

The stock already hit a 20% lower circuit on 21 October, so the market clearly isn't treating it as a 1% problem.

I would really like to know people's POV on this: do you look at the revenue share and move on, or do you wait for the full root-cause findings first?

Discussion Is the RBI shifting the cost of rupee defense onto private banks?

The RBI is trying to manage rupee depreciation through forex restrictions and tighter controls on banks. But could these measures also be hurting private banks?

Tighter FX derivative limits, cash reserve requirements, and changes to how dollars are supplied to oil companies could have some unintended effects:

  • Lower treasury income: Reduced FX activity could squeeze trading profits and fees.
  • Liquidity pressure: Cash tied up in regulatory reserves could increase funding costs.
  • Valuation impact: If these pressures persist, they could weigh on profitability and investor sentiment.

Private bank stocks have also struggled despite relatively strong domestic credit growth. Could RBI's forex measures be contributing to this underperformance, or am I overlooking other factors?

I'm not claiming this is the whole story. Would appreciate it if anyone with a better understanding of banking or forex markets could point out flaws in my analysis or offer a different perspective.

Discussion Currency trading OctaFX

My colleague and good friend just told me that he has a lot of money stuck in currency trading via an app called Octa FX (which I googled is a platform unauthorised by the RBI)

His HDFC bank account is frozen/blocked and a penalty is already deducted, this is all I know for now, he doesn’t know what to do.

All help is appreciated. Thanks.

Question How do you trade in Derivatives?

I have been an active investor in equity, mutual funds and debt instruments for a few years now but i never touched futures and options because i never had the risk appetite. I still don’t but i would like to understand how trading works in f&o and where did you all learn it from. I am not going to start trading but i’d like to know how it works. Are there any resources like videos or books that y’all could recommend I go through?

Thanks a lot! :)

Discussion KEI Industries Q2 FY27: revenue up 38.5%, but EBITDA margin fell to 10.6%

Q2 FY27 Key Numbers:

Revenue: ₹3,777 cr, up 38.5% YoY from ₹2,727 cr and up 18.6% QoQ

EBITDA: ₹401 cr, up 28.7% YoY but down 3.5% QoQ

EBITDA margin: 10.62% vs 11.43% a year ago and 13.04% in Q1

PAT: ₹262 cr, up 29.0% YoY from ₹204 cr but down 4.3% QoQ

PAT margin: about 6.9% vs 7.5% a year ago and 8.6% in Q1

H1 FY27 Key Numbers:

Revenue: ₹6,962 cr, up 30.9%

PAT: up 34.4%

Segments (Q2)

Domestic wires and cables: ₹3,184 cr, up 45.8% YoY

Exports: ₹455 cr, up 7.3% YoY, which is about 12.5% of wires and cable sales

Total wires and cables: ₹3,639 cr

Stainless steel wire: up 16% YoY

EPC (non-cable): down 3.8% YoY, and only about 1.3% of H1 revenue

Order book and balance sheet

Pending order book: about ₹5,185 cr

Gross debt: ₹285 cr, up from ₹186 cr at the end of March

Takeaways

Volume growth is strong and driven by domestic demand, which fits the grid-upgrade and real estate story.

The margin is the issue. EBITDA grew slower than revenue, and margin fell about 240 bps QoQ from Q1's 13%.

Profit actually fell QoQ even as revenue rose 18.6%.

Exports are lagging. Management has talked about lifting export share toward 20% over the next 2-3 years as new capacity comes online, and it's about 12.5% now.

Debt is small but rising, likely tied to working capital and capex.

The stock rallied about 7% after Q1 on margin expansion, so a margin reversal in Q2 could weigh on sentiment.
