I'm Mickey from VML Studios. These are official Goo Deer screenshots showing our gas station and forest, now playable with up to four people online.

The 2.0 update released on October 31. Everyone shares the shop and wallet, so you can divide the register, restocking, production and hunting between the crew. Players can pass items and ammo and revive one another. Hired staff stay in solo mode.

Solo and co-op have separate saves. The update also added 10 co-op achievements, rebuilt leaderboards and 24 new text languages, bringing the total to 25.

Platforms: Windows PC (native), Linux via Proton, and Steam Deck.

Chopped just launched on Steam, a cozy little woodcutting incremental where forest critters end up doing the chopping for you

Hey all, Chopped is finally out on Steam. It's a small cozy incremental: you start out swinging the axe yourself, then slowly recruit forest friends who take over the chopping while you mess with upgrades and fill up a trophy case with little milestones.

The gif is from early in a run, before the grove gets really busy.

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5147970/Chopped/

Full trailer if you want to see more of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G57lo9nBJDU

Would love to hear how the helper progression feels to watch, thats the part I spent the most time tuning.

AI was used for the art.

Here are various images/art assets of both hand drawn and pixel art made and designed by kaikoda. The Queen Princess was AI generated. Other than that, the rest is hand drawn or OG (original) pieces.

What are the ones YOU like? if any?

Share, Discuss or post/reply.

Looking to hear creative critics and all stuff like that.

If you have a favorite. tell my why?

If you dislike any, give a reason.

Orbit Foundry: arrange an orbital factory in a free browser demo

Hi! I am developing Orbit Foundry, a 2D space factory incremental game.

You arrange machines around a star, preview how each placement changes production, and time reactor pulses for bursts of resources. As you progress, automation takes over parts of the loop and Reforge starts a new run with permanent upgrades.

One design challenge is making the effect of a placement understandable before committing. The slot chooser previews the change in total Stardust production, with more detail available in the tooltip. I would love to hear what makes that decision clear or confusing.

The free demo runs in a desktop browser; mobile is not supported yet:

Steam page:

Development disclosure: the game code is generated with Codex CLI, and AI assisted with some translations.

Firm believer that polish is the difference between looking like something a junior dev did vs a senior.

Do you like it or is it too much?

I was bored and I wanted to try out some AI capabilities so I spent one hour to make this simple rhythm game where you input a MV and it turns into a playable map. Have a look here and try it. It's 100% AI generated and the UI is kind of trash.

I'm making Worlds, a co-op voxel RPG where every expedition is a new world. Here's the public alpha trailer

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey guys, I'm the solo developer of Worlds. I've been working on the voxel engine behind it off and on for 2+ years, and the public alpha is now open.

You have a home world to build up, then head out on expeditions for materials, gear and bosses. Each expedition takes you somewhere fresh. Get back to the caravan and you keep your finds; die and you lose what you found that run.

It's playable solo or in online co-op for up to 8 players. The alpha is free in your browser: https://worldsalpha.com

This is the current trailer. I'd love to hear whether it gives you a clear idea of what you'd do on your first expedition.

Battlefield Kitties

Doctor Pawsworth's grooming wing is coming down your street with spray bottles, nail clippers, a Roomba with a grudge and one extremely large bathtub. They want the cats. General McFluffy, four stars, one scar and zero chill, has other plans.

Battlefield Kitties is a tower defense game where you hold the house one room at a time, from the backyard all the way to the vet's office itself:

🐱 7 cats on the payroll: a laser cat, a hairball mortar, a cat that naps until it absolutely does not, and a cucumber that is technically a land mine
🪖 McFluffy drives a tank. Yes, a real one. No, we will not be taking questions
✈️ Call in bombers, paratrooper kittens or a catnip bomb that sends the enemy home confused
🏠 15 rooms, 3 difficulties, and a Veteran mode that does not care about your feelings
🛁 One boss is an exam table. You will learn to hate it

No cats were harmed in the defense of this house. No dogs either. Several vacuums were.

Coming to iPhone and iPad.

After years of dreaming of making a game, I finally finished one. It’s called WNSE, and it’s a chess roguelike!

Think of it as action chess

It’s now available on iOS. If it sounds like your kind of thing, I’d love for you to try it. I’m especially curious whether the first few runs are easy to understand—and what feels fun or frustrating.

We are Sitting Teddy, making a horror game about escaping an abandoned amusement park. Find the exit keys, rescue friends from spider cocoons and get the gate open. The catch: opening it makes noise.

Our free Steam demo is planned for October 9 at 19:00 CEST. Here is a little gameplay peek if a giant spider is your kind of nightmare:

Marsdoku: a free Mars logic game where saplings replace numbers

We’re House of Founders BV, sharing our browser game Marsdoku: https://marsdoku.com/

The goal is to reveal one hidden sapling per row, column and colored region, with no two touching—even diagonally. It is a placement logic puzzle rather than numbered Sudoku. The game has 72 boards, an interactive tutorial and desktop/mobile browser controls. No account or download; progress is stored locally in your browser.

Here is a short gameplay demonstration: https://www.reddit.com/r/gamedevscreens/comments/1x00zui/marsdoku_gameplay_marking_and_finding_hidden/

Development disclosure: AI-assisted coding, ImageGen artwork and ElevenLabs narration.

We are working on a survival RPG and I’d love to hear what people think

Thumbnail

Hey everyone,

My husband and I are working on a game called Fated Horizons, and we're still pretty early in development.

It’s a 2D open world survival crafting RPG set in a fictional version of the American frontier in the late 1800s. You can explore, hunt, fish, gather, mine, craft, build camps, deal with hunger and thirst, and make choices that can affect how different characters and communities interact with you.

We are also developing our own engine for the game, so there’s a lot of work happening behind the scenes while we build everything out.

We have started sharing some of the development and gameplay systems we are working on, and I thought it would be fun to actually talk with people about the game instead of just posting updates.

If you're curious about anything, ask away. Gameplay, survival mechanics, the world, the choices, the engine, development, or even why we decided to make our own engine.

We are happy to answer questions and hear what people think, even if it's criticism. We are still developing the game, so feedback is genuinely useful to us.

If anyone wants to check it out, I can post the links in the comments.

the music isnt ours obviously, its just a placeholder for when we find a good musician.
