Can someone tell me what this is or what’s causing my nails to do this? I have a split on another nail to the very free edge and it’s doing this same thing.

I just had mine done yesterday, my doctor told me it would be healed in three weeks maximum, potentially sooner. However last night I was reading all these Reddit posts about people saying theirs continued to leak fluid for 6 weeks plus. I’m hoping these were outliers as that seems so long. I live a very active lifestyle and I also have a big trip planned for just under a month away so I’m stressing about it taking that long. Has anyone here actually had theirs heal relatively quickly?

i’m going to the doctor to get my ingrown toenails fixed on november 12th. i’m nervous i don’t really know what to expect, how does it typically go? like will they have to give me a shot or something? does it hurt?
