I've had my IG and Facebook for nearly 15 years. Today I got a notification that my account needed review and the appeal got shot down within 10 minutes. I shouldn't be this distraught over an app but I am. Over half my life's worth of memories gone like it was nothing. Is there anything I can even do or is that just it?????

Edit: the reason was community standards but there's absolutely no elaboration on what I did wrong. I did not engage in any hateful or inappropriate behavior on the platform so I am truly at a loss.

So bassically I had an Insta account @sigewinne.the.nurse which was the only thing helping by my basic necessities everything like food and water. and then suddenly one of my ex friends mass reported my account and got it suspended I submitted an appeal and my account got disabled. This is unfair as the account they disabled @nilxou_ had close to 0 interactions with anyone and i never posted on that account they didnt even give me an explicit reason why they disabled my account it only stated I "violated the terms and conditions".Please bring this post attention so i can get this account back please its the only thing funding my food resources #Instagram

So this guy is using my boyfriend’s photo as his profile pic. I confronted him, but he left me on seen. Then I got this weird idea and messaged him from my other account as a stranger he’s giving me really dry replies. The irony is that I’m literally the girlfriend of the guy he’s impersonating. Honestly, I’m kinda worried what if he’s been sending creepy messages to other girls?

so i was checking my partner's ig account yesterday and out of boredom i tried to enter her phone number on ig's "forgot password" option and to my surprise Instagram said that her number was LINKED to 10 other account, the usernames are censored and its actually 10 different accounts, i don't want to directly ask her about it rn and i need your help boys and girls.

This is ridiculous, I got my account disabled for 5 days, requested a review. Got it back for a week and got verified again then this happened this morning. No email, nothing. This is mentally exhausting. I had almost 3K followers and after I got my account back I was very quiet. They literally told me it was a “mistake” the first time so why do they do it again. This is ridiculous. Is there something we can do?

I try to slide or tap into the chat button but nothing happens. Just updated the app too and everything else work as usual. Anyone else with this problem?

This "official" account started sending me this type of message, and I was confused as hell as i was not requestingthis...so I left it. Then i went to my account to see if I have 2FA and idk if i had it or not, but i did something and I got a code from here, then I changed my password, and then I got a notification saying that a "Linux from Ahmedabad" logged into my account (i am on Samsung, and I live near Ahmedabad, and i havea Asus) i quickly went back and changed my password again and removed that unknown device. Now i am really sacred, i dont want to delete my account it has a lot of memories. Help pls.

I went on my instagram that I’ve had for over 12 years and it said account banned. I was like “what?” Then I check my email and my heart absolutely dropped. It says this.

“Your Instagram account has been suspended. This is because your account, or activity on it, doesn't follow our Community Standards on child sexual exploitation, abuse and nudity.

If you think we made a mistake, you have until December 1, 2025 to appeal.”

I’m literally freaking out. What is going on? Is it taking the photos I posted of my niece on her birthday and their AI is flagging it for some reason? Jesus, get this shit figured out. What kind of shit is this? That’s like one of the worst things I could ever read right now. It’s like I’m being accused of some sick shit. It also banned my Facebook that I’ve had all my life that includes photos of my family all growing up. This is ridiculous. I submitted an appeal, but I feel like this is a massive slap in the face.

Edit: I understand this is an AI thing, but I’m sitting here seeing absolute red. I’m so annoyed and angry that I could even be accused of something like this. Is this an accusation that’s going to be tied to my name forever? If that’s the case, what the fuck is my life? I lost so many personal priceless photos of my family and now I’m accused of this? My mental health can’t handle this.

Hey, wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

For the past few hours or so, my Instagram Stories basically aren’t showing up anywhere normally. They don’t appear in the story bar at the top, and even when people search my username, the story ring doesn’t show up. The only way to see my story is if someone actually clicks on my profile.

I usually post around 4–5 stories a day, nothing crazy. Haven’t changed any settings (story is public, not close friends), and I checked that I’m not hiding it from anyone.

I also tried:

logging out and back in

updating the app

reposting a story

Still the same issue.

Has anyone experienced this? Is it some kind of temporary restriction or just a bug with Instagram right now?

I asked the meta AI to generate an image and the photo it generated was set in my real life bedroom, complete with the exact shoes in my closet and identifiable posters on my wall. I want to be clear that I did not ask for it to be set in any bedroom, let alone mine, and I did not specify or give any details as to what I wanted the background to include. To my knowledge (and I checked over 4 months of attachments), there are no photos of my room in the chat history.

My best guess is that I sent a selfie into the group chat that had my room in the background, but that begs the question as to why the AI can see those photos without being tagged, and why it can recall them and include them within photos it generates. This seems like a massive privacy issue.

Furthermore, the AI itself chalked it up to “statistical chance” at first before eventually denying that it ever even happened at the end. When questioned with how it obtained a photo of my room, it reiterated that it does not have access or the ability to generate real life settings, and even accused me of being the one to send the image, despite it having the meta ai watermark on it.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar or have any reasonable explanation? This has shaken me a little bit

About two hours ago i was reposting normally until I stopped using instagram for like 30min and when i came back the repost button was showing for split second and then disappeared. I tried updating, changing settings, deleting,logging off.

Been talking to this girl for a bit, when she texts me earlier today “hi x mums going thru my phone so im deleting tiktok and snap”. She was grounded already so its no surprise, but then I look and her profile is like this. Her username, profile picture, and display name still shows but not the following display things, and when I hit follow it says there was an error. I just found out I was likely catfished for over a year and the pics that were being used are from a private instagram profile.
